🎨🍕 WE’RE HEADING TO THE SUMMERHILL ARTS FESTIVAL 2026! 🍕🎨

We’re incredibly excited to announce that Pizza Royale in association with Events by The Kitchen Hub will be joining this colourful celebration of creativity, community and family fun!

Come and find us for our delicious handmade artisanal pizzas, freshly prepared and packed with flavour. Whether you’re exploring the student art exhibitions, enjoying the live performances, browsing the artisan market or joining in the interactive workshops, make sure you stop by for a slice! 😍

🍕 What a weekend! 🙌

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to support The Kitchen Hub, Events by The Kitchen Hub and Pizza Royale this past weekend.

From a fantastic Saturday at kumusha_equestrian running a very busy tuck shop, and then firing up the pizza ovens for the Jeppe High School for Boys vs King Edward VII School derby. One of the biggest and most anticipated fixtures on the school rugby calendar.

It was a weekend we’ll remember for a long time.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who chose our pizza, stopped for a chat, or simply came over to say hello. Your support means the world to our family business.

Now it’s time to do it all again this Saturday King Edward VII School! 🔥🍕

This weekend you’ll find us at the KES Old Boys’ Reunion as they host Durban High School. If you’re coming to the rugby or the hockey, make sure to pop in, grab a freshly made pizza, and say hi to the team.

👋 We’ve Been A Little Quiet…
But For Good Reason! 👋

If you’ve noticed we’ve been a little quiet on social media lately… there’s a very good reason!

Over the past couple of weeks, our team has been hard at work at the South African Schools Hockey Association Junior IPTs, hosted at King Edward VII School from 27 June to 6 July.

For ten incredible days, The Kitchen Hub was proud to provide a complete catering solution for one of South Africa’s premier school hockey tournaments.

Our team had the privilege of:

🍽️ Preparing and serving dinner each evening to players, coaches and officials.

🍻 Managing the dinner evening bar throughout the event.

🏪 Running the tuck shop stjohns_college, keeping players, coaches, management, officials, parents and spectators fuelled throughout the day.

☕ Jozi Brew kept everyone warm with fresh coffee and hot chocolate for those icy mornings and chilly evenings.

🧋 Jozi Bubble served up refreshing bubble teas that quickly became a crowd favourite during the warm afternoons.

🍕 Pizza Royale fired out our freshly made artisanal pizzas, alongside delicious bacon & egg rolls, burgers, snacks, popcorn, sweets and cold drinks.

It was ten days of early mornings, late nights, countless hours behind the scenes, and an amazing team effort from everyone involved.

To the organisers, players, coaches, officials, parents and every customer who stopped by to support us…. THANK YOU!
It was an absolute privilege to be part of such a fantastic tournament.

Now that the IPTs have wrapped up, we’re back and ready for the next adventure…

And trust us… with Events by The Kitchen Hub, we’ve got plenty more exciting events on the horizon! 🎉

🍽️ Day 1 Complete! 🏑

What an incredible way to kick off the 2026 SA Schools Hockey Association Junior IPTs (U13).

Last night’s dinner service was all about bringing great people together over great food. From slow-roasted meats and fresh salads to delicious sides and delicious condiments, it was a privilege to serve the coaches, officials and support staff who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make this tournament possible.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for opening night. We truly appreciate the opportunity to be part of such a special event once again.

Here’s to many more memorable evenings, great conversations and fantastic hockey over the coming days.

There’s something special about becoming part of a community, and that’s exactly how we feel about Kumusha Equestrian Sport Horses.

Since January, The Kitchen Hub has proudly been running the estate’s tuckshop during their monthly training and grading events, and it has quickly become one of our favourite partnerships.

We genuinely enjoy serving the riders, their families, trainers, officials, support crews and everyone who helps make these events such a success. It’s always a pleasure being part of such a welcoming and passionate equestrian community.
