A friend brought us a Makataan/Tsamma and we were intrigued to try making our first bottle of Makataan Jam, with the pieces in and some smooth jam. As this was a success, we decided to plant the seeds on my brother's farm and what a surprise when we saw the produce. Out of this first plantation, our chutneys, sauces and jams where created and some great tasting products.
