The weekend is here and we're looking forward to welcoming you!!!

It's also the last few days to get your Afrikanos fix before we take a short winter break.

Join us for all your favourites, great vibes and delicious meals shared with family and friends.

We'll be shutting shop early this Sunday for our winter break with our kitchen closing at 15H00 & the venue closed from 16H00.

Don't miss out — come and enjoy a visit before we close up to recharge.

This time next week we'll be getting ready to shut down shop for a little break.

Yip, this is your official winter break notice!!!!

We'll be closed between the 27 July & 18 August while our fantastic team enjoys a well-deserved break and to add a little extra love with some maintenance and a few behind-the-scenes improvements.

Come visit us this week and get your necessary dose of Afrikanos before our break.
We're also open this Monday, 20.07 from 11H00.

VOTING IS OPEN FOR THE GANSBAAI KWELA DORP VAN DIE JAAR COMPETITION!

LET’S BRING HOME THE BRAGGING RIGHTS TO GANSBAAI, OUR WESTERN CAPE FINALIST!

Vote now and, most importantly, share with your family and friends. The community is rallying and there is tons of excitement already bubbling in Gansbaai!

The National winner is determined purely by highest volume of public SMS votes.
The final voting window is now open and it closes12:00 (noon) on Friday, 17 July 2026. Vote! Vote! Vote!

HOW TO VOTE:
1. Save Kwela as a contact on your phone. Number is 33157.
2. Send an SMS with one word typed “Gansbaai”.
3. SMS’s are charged at R1.50 each. SMS bundles do not count so if you have free SMS’s on your phone package please load airtime to vote.
4. You may send a maximum of 30 SMS’s and every vote counts.
5. Most importantly, share this with all your family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, sports club mates and fellow Western Capers. Ask everyone to vote and pass it on. You can make the difference.

The overall winner will be announced on Kwêla on Sunday, 2 August 2026.
