Pizza @ home Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
• 1 can high-quality canned tomatoes
• 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
• 1 tsp fine sea salt
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1 small garlic clove, minced (optional)
• 1 tsp sugar & red chilli flakes (optional
• 4-5 fresh basil leaves, torn (optional)
Instructions
1. Blend the Tomatoes – In a bowl, crush the canned tomatoes by hand for a slightly chunky sauce, or blend briefly for a smoother texture.
2. Mix in Seasonings – Add salt, oregano, black pepper, and olive oil chilli flakes optional .Stir well.
3. Garlic and Basil (Optional) – If using, mix in minced garlic and torn basil leaves for extra flavor.
4. Taste and Adjust – If the sauce is too acidic, add a teaspoon of sugar.
5. Let It Rest – For best results, cover and let the sauce sit for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
6. Use Raw on Pizza – This sauce is uncooked to maintain freshness and is spread directly onto the dough before baking freeze up to 3 months
