A week is gone by since I got back from the fieldtrip, post-harvest training in Bonga/Kaffa and after reflecting on my experience with individuals who pick cherry, dry coffeee beans as wellย as sorters to farmed crop controllers that creates what we taste. At times I feel unworthy to even take a photo with them because frankly, they are the real heroes behind those coffee beans we love so much. Their seasonal labor shapes a nation's dialogue and links friendships into family over macchiatos, cappuccinos, or the brews that propels your business day.
I felt responsibile to these people and the work that they did. I also vowed to stop talking about what I do and start doing it, providing value in a way that helped others AND made me money. I want to AFFECT AT SCALE those that are coordinating everything at the seed stage, making sure they too get noticed and supported properly.
To support their pursit, $1 from the sale of every bag purchased (locally or online) will benefit these unseen faces in our diverse coffee community which are keeping coffe alive. So by purchasing this you are helping to support those unnoticed workers that work day in and out just for us have our favourite drinks
With your support, I wish that we can make coffee supply chain heroes feel recognized and empowered.
