To all our wonderful customers, supporters and amigos:
It is with a very heavy heart that we have to say goodbye to Durban North. We have worked tirelessly during lockdown to negotiate a reasonable lease for our premises that would allow us to trade during lockdown restrictions and beyond...unfortunately, to no avail.
As has been since March, our priority has been trying to take care of our wonderful staff who are so sadly affected by our closure the most. Most of our staff - chefs, waiters, managers - have been with us since the beginning and are the only breadwinners in their families. Please spare a thought for them...
Although we are no longer, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the wider Durban community for the support over the past 5 years. There have been many nights of fun, laughter and great food shared between us (often with a few shots of tequila on the side!)
We would also like to encourage everyone who can to support the many wonderful small businesses in Durban North who may just be holding on by a thread. An understanding landlord has in many cases been the difference between a business STAYING in business and closing for good, and these businesses deserve all the support they can get.
