Light. Crispy. Cheesy. Irresistible.

Now available in Dullstroom.

Cousin to our beloved arancini balls, this vegetarian Roman street snack has a delicate golden shell, creamy risotto and a melted mozzarella centre.

Pull it apart and the cheese stretches between the two halves like the cord of an old-fashioned telephone, which is exactly how it earned its name.

It is deeply satisfying, easy to eat and the new star of our market stalls.

Luckily you won’t have to wait for an event to try it. It’s also joining the main restaurant menu.

A new way to enjoy an old Italian favourite. We’re very happy to keep the line connected 🇮🇹

A very comfortable life sentence.

Penne pasta and juicy grilled chicken strips tossed in Nonna’s rich tomato sugo, with pitted Kalamata olives and fresh basil.

Leaving any sauce behind would be a crime, so we serve it with a chunk of freshly baked sourdough bread.

🍅 A Letter from Portugal

Mariana Alcoforado, a seventeenth-century nun who lived in a convent in Beja, she fell in love with a French officer and wrote him five passionate letters after he returned to France. So the story goes.

Whether Mariana truly wrote the letters remains a matter of debate, but their place in Portuguese literary history has endured. Herdade do Rocim named this Alentejo white w**e in tribute to her story.

The officer may never have returned. The w**e, fortunately, made it all the way to our chequered table in Dullstroom. 🇵🇹🍷
