Cape Town Couple Builds Luxury 4-Star Hotel In Khayelitsha

Annette Skaap, a former flight attendant, and her husband Bulelani “Ace” Skaap turned their vision into reality by opening The Spade Boutique Hotel & Spa in Mandela Park, Khayelitsha.

Opened in December 2021, the luxury hotel features 13 suites, a heated outdoor pool, spa, gym, restaurant and bar — bringing a high-end hospitality experience to the township.

A powerful example of township entrepreneurship and investing in local communities.

Happy birthday to our very own Tata, Amos!

We always say it is no coincidence that his birthday is one day before Nelson Mandela.
Because Amos is like our very own Mandela, in so many ways.
He was a freedom fighter before he started working at the hotel in 1994, when mom bought it. He dedicated his entire young life to the fight for freedom.

Now he has dedicated his life to Die Tuishuise and Victoria Manor and we are so grateful to him for his passion and dedication.

Enkosi kakhulu Amos!

Visibility first. Perfection later.

A business people can identify today is more valuable than a “perfect” storefront nobody notices because we waiting for everything to line up financially.
