Do you tap your shot glass before or after taking your shot?
Legend has it that tapping your glass is a sign of respect to the bartenders as well as the house!
It's also believed that if you tap your glass on the table or bar counter before taking your shot, it's the equivalent of pouring one out for the fallen homies, and also as a toast to the bar.
