INSTANT NOODLE CRAVING 🤤♥️ ‼️ 🍝

🌶️ 1. Supreme Nigerian Indomie (Loaded & Fancy)

🛒 Ingredients:

2 packs Indomie noodles
2 eggs
1 sausage (or chicken/shrimp)
½ cup mixed veggies (carrots, green beans, sweet corn, peas) 😁
½ small onion (sliced)
½ fresh pepper (ata rodo if you like spice 🔥)
1 tbsp butter
A splash of vegetable oil
Optional: grated cheese or a little cream
👩🏽‍🍳 Steps:
Boil noodles for 2 minutes only (don’t overcook). Drain most of the water.
In a pan, heat oil + butter.
Fry onions and pepper until fragrant.
Add sausage/chicken/shrimp. Stir fry 1–2 minutes.
Add veggies and stir.
Add noodles + seasoning. Mix well.
Push noodles aside, crack eggs into the pan and scramble into it (or fry separately and place on top).
Optional: sprinkle cheese or add a spoon of cream for richness.
✨ Result: Creamy, spicy, colorful, and irresistible!
🧄 2. Creamy Pepper Indomie (Luxury Version)
Extra Upgrade:
Add 2 tbsp cooking cream
1 tbsp butter
Bell peppers (red & green)
Cook normally, then stir in butter + cream at the end.
It becomes smooth, rich, and almost like pasta Alfredo but Nigerian style 😍
🔥 Secret Tips to Make It EXTRA Magnificent:
Don’t overboil the noodles (slightly firm = better texture).
Fry the seasoning in oil first for deeper flavor.
Add a little curry + thyme.
Garnish with spring onions for that fine “Instagram” look.
Serve with cold zobo or Chapman if you’re impressing someone 😉

One Nigerian dish that’s very often prepared wrong (especially outside its native region) is:
🍲 Edikang Ikong
Origin: Akwa Ibom State & Cross River State
Since your name is Akwa Ibom, this one might hit home 😄
🔴 How People Commonly Get It Wrong
1️⃣ Adding Too Much Water
Edikang Ikong is not a watery soup.
It should be thick, rich, and heavy with vegetables.
2️⃣ Using Too Little Vegetables
This soup is about vegetables first, meat second.
The correct ratio is:
🥬 70% vegetables
🥩 30% meat & stock
Many people reverse this.
3️⃣ Overcooking the Vegetables
Ugu and waterleaf should stay vibrant green, not dark and soggy.
Overcooking kills the taste and nutrients.
4️⃣ Adding Palm Oil First
The proper traditional method:
Cook the meat and stock
Add palm oil
Add waterleaf (cook briefly)
Add ugu last (very briefly)
Some people fry everything first — that changes the flavor completely.
5️⃣ Turning It Into “Vegetable Egusi”
Edikang Ikong does not contain egusi.
Once you add melon, it becomes a different soup.
