Opskop inni Kaap took over Ongetem and Canopy this weekend for a day that had it all - from top tier wine farms, mouthwatering food and an atmosphere that had people lingering for hours.

Kitchen Leeks. Meet Abiah Philips, trainee chef. Studied at CPUT, graduated in April. Prefers the dinner shift. Chef Bertus had to ask, “Did you work breakfast this morning… did you burn the eggs?” Off duty, she’s sleeping, walking or baking. Vanilla over chocolate. Always. Favourite dish on the Ongetem menu? The Benny Henny. Fried chicken and waffles. Also a fan of a good chicken burger. Favourite show: Emily in Paris. Hoping to keep working with the team at Ongetem once her internship wraps.
