🚧🍕 An Update from Paulo's Pizza Parklands 🍕

The excitement is REAL... and so is the smell of fresh paint! 😍

We are getting so close to reopening, and we honestly can't wait to welcome you back. The transformation has exceeded our expectations, and we know you're going to love the new look. It's already looking absolutely stunning! ✨

Our hope is to reopen on Saturday, 1 August, but as with any renovation, we're relying on contractors to complete the final touches. Rather than announce a date and risk letting you down, we'd rather be completely certain before making it official... so hang tight!!

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and all the messages asking when we'll be back. We've missed serving you just as much as you've missed your favourite wood-fired pizzas. ❤️🍕

To Our Paulo’s Pizza Parklands Community ❤️

We wanted to share a little update with you all.

The rebuild is moving forward, and we're making great progress every day. While things are taking a little longer than we originally hoped, we want to assure you that every step is being done properly, and it will absolutely be worth the wait!

Behind the scenes, there has been a tremendous amount of work taking place, and we're getting closer and closer to welcoming you back through our doors.

We know many of you are eager for a reopening date, and trust us, we're just as eager to share one. As soon as we have certainty, you'll be the first to know.

Your patience, support, and encouragement have meant the world to us during this journey. The messages, comments, and love from our community continue to motivate us every day.

We're not just rebuilding what was there before, we're creating something even better for you, our valued customers. Because without you, we have nothing.

To our Paulos Parklands community ❤️

Last night, our Paulos Pizza Parklands store experienced a fire. We are incredibly grateful that no one was hurt, but sadly the damage means we will be closed until further notice.

This is a tough moment for us, but what carries us through is the support of this amazing community. Your loyalty, messages, and love mean more to us than words can say.

We’ll be working hard behind the scenes to get back up and running as soon as possible.

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞

Last week we had the privilege of hosting a powerful leadership workshop led by Ricardo Carelse, our Operations Manager, bringing together our management teams from Paulo’s Pizza Brackenfell, Paulo’s Pizza Kuilsriver, and our sister company El Toro Sports Bar — all under one roof at Gallo Portuguese Restaurant.

The session focused on reflection, alignment, and setting clear direction for the months ahead across all areas of the business. From operations and service to profitability and growth, it was a day filled with honest conversation, strategic thinking, and meaningful collaboration.

Leadership engagement formed a key part of the workshop, with Shahieda Scheffers, our General Manager, who was invited to provide strategic input, guidance, and approval on initiatives planned for the year ahead. The floor was opened for feedback and recommendations, reinforcing a culture of inclusion and a shared vision.

This workshop also marked the rollout of a refreshed “Managers Feel, Look & Be” philosophy — encouraging business-minded thinking, strong assessment and analysis, smart implementation, and a professional presence. From leadership mindset to corporate appearance, communication, and confidence, our managers are being empowered to lead with purpose.

We’re incredibly proud of this team and excited for what lies ahead.
