Calabash Bush Pub Our Pizzas and spit braais are renowned. Come and try them The Calabash has since become a definite “must” when visiting the Breede River Valley.

Originaly built in 1898 & used as a milking shed until 1992 when it was converted to a pub for the local's in the area. An ideal self-drive day trip, action packed outdoor weekend getaway or simply as an escape from the rat race.

BAINSKLOOF: BEFORE & AFTER

After total destruction, access to one of the Cape’s most iconic mountain routes reopened in July. Bainskloof road (MR201/R301) is carrying traffic again.

Our thanks to Minister Tertuis Simmers , engineers, contractors, officials and disaster response teams for getting this route back. Bridge by bridge, pass by pass, we will rebuild.
