For many beautiful years, De Oude Fabreeck was more than just a shop and restaurant — it was a place of stories, laughter, creativity, good food, and community. Housed in one of Bedford’s most historic buildings, once the town’s first school and later a woodwork factory, this special space became home to handcrafted treasures, flourishing gardens, memorable meals, and countless shared moments.

With heavy hearts, we announce that De Oude Fabreeck has closed its doors. While this chapter has come to an end, we remain deeply grateful for the incredible support, friendships, and memories made along the way. What started as a dream became a journey far more meaningful than we could ever have imagined.

Although our shop and online store are now closed, we hope the magic of this space may continue through new ownership. The property is currently for sale, and we would love to see someone new breathe fresh life into this remarkable piece of Bedford history.
