Wow, thank you for this, Tracy!
We are so grateful for the kind feedback and thrilled to hear the paper is helping people navigate all the magic of the Bathurst Bookfair weekend. If you spot a copy around the village, grab one and enjoy the adventure.

Do yourselves a favour. If you're headed to the Bathurst Bookfair this weekend, find one of these little community newspapers probably available at most business. I got mine at The Workshop arts and crafts gallery when we dropped off some new items the other day.
What a useful issue! It has everything you could possibly want to know about the festival, which seems to be extensive and take over the while of Bathurst. We'll written and includes interesting heritage information on a a few sites around Bathurst. And unbelievably more information than advertising so we'll done them for achieving that!

The April Edition has arrived. You’ll find copies of The Bathurst Chronicle resting in familiar places across the village, each one part of the story in its own way.

Pick Up your copy today:
• At The Little Bistro, where the warmth of the Village Green meets the scent of wood-fired pizzas and the easy hum of local voices.

• At that Coffee place, a quiet sanctuary in the heart of the village, where coffee is served slow and the garden holds a kind of Bathurst stillness.

• At The Workshop arts and crafts gallery a living thread of the town’s creativity, where for years, local hands have shaped, carved, painted, and shared their way of seeing.

• At Interesting Things, tucked near the historic heart of town, where every shelf invites a second look and nothing feels quite ordinary.

• At Curiosity Shoppe, a small window into the unusual. A place where the handmade and the whimsical sit comfortably side by side.

• At The Pink Lady Milkshake Parlour, a splash of sweetness and a nod to another time, adding a playful pause to a walk through the village.

• At Copy-It, part of the village’s quiet backbone, your one stop print shop in Bathurst.

• At Shangri-La (Bathurst Butchery), a cornerstone on Kowie Road, where tradition is kept in the cuts and in the conversations across the counter.

• And at Bathurst Convenient Store, a steady presence in the daily ebb and flow, where the essentials are always close at hand.

A small paper, carried by the places that carry Bathurst. Pick one up when you’re there. Take a moment. Have a read.

Inside this issue:
How a single board on fresh tar grew into a community of twenty-five kids finding their footing. | The journey of a 1975 VW Autovilla and the mission to bring sweetness to the village. | A look back at the 116th edition, from the roar of the vintage tractors to the heat of the blacksmith’s forge. | A steady look at the shifting tides and local conversations shaping our community this month.

The March edition of The Bathurst Chronicle has arrived, and it’s a quiet, steady look at the heart of the village. This month, we step into a local studio where art is slowly uncovered from wood, stone, and bone gathered along our coastline. We also honour the memory of a woman who quite literally wove herself into our identity, from the outfits our town criers wear to the festive bunting that still flies at every community event.

Take a trip back to 1970 with a look at a massive symbolic trek that saw four wagons and fifty oxen rolling through the dust to reconnect generations. We also revisit the shimmering legacy of a dance movement that once filled our streets with music and sequins... and might just be due for a second act. With practical village advice, seasonal recipe for cooler days, and a guide to a timeless haircut, there is plenty to settle into. Grab your copy today.
