Eleven Tribes

Eleven Tribes A bold new chapter at Zimbali Lodge. Opening soon.

28/09/2026

You just found your next year end venue.🌿

Tropical views. Ocean air. A setting that does most of the work before anyone raises a glass.

Four ways to close out the year:

Coastal Spit Braai. Fire, sea breeze, slow roasted flavour.
Tropical Year End Buffet. Relaxed, generous, set against Zimbali’s resort views.
Cocktail SoirĂŠe. Sundowners, sharp outfits, the tropics glowing gold at dusk.
Signature Gala Dinner. A refined multi course celebration where every dish carries a story.

Heritage Month, plated.

Coast to highveld, this is what Eleven Tribes’ menu is all about.

Our name is a tribute to South Africa’s eleven official language groups. The idea is simple: bring every nation to one table, one plate at a time.

This is about to be a favourite summer dish.

Stuffed calamari with olives, anchovies and cherry tomatoes. Sweet and savoury at once, light enough for warm afternoons, built by Chef Malusi for exactly this season.

One of eleven South African cultures on a menu you won’t find anywhere else in KZN.
