Meet Johann van der Merwe of Raging Goose Coffee in Baardskeerdersbos.

From his first coffee kiosk in Gansbaai to roasting his own beans in Bbos, Johann has turned his passion for coffee into something truly special.

While his micro-roastery supplies coffee to home users and various wholesale outlets, Raging Goose is a warm and welcoming space where everyone can take a break and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

And when Johann isn’t roasting beans or pouring the perfect flat white, you’ll likely find him outdoors, making the most of the Overberg’s natural beauty.

Find Raging Goose Coffee at the corner of Kerk and Strandveld Streets, Baardskeerdersbos.

Why two grinders on the bar? We take our coffee quality seriously and will always strive to give you the best possible coffee. To do that, we need to use the freshest beans and grind each shot of espresso individually. Offering more than one coffee can make this tricky. Our decaf and single-origin coffees are ground on our Presso DF54 single-dose grinder to ensure freshly ground coffee. Pop in and try our decaf or single-origin coffee

Five years ago I opened the kiosk. Amidst the uncertainty of COVID regulations and the bold move of going solo. Five years down the line and I could not be more proud of all the achievements. Raging Goose has done some amazing stuff and met the most incredible people in and out of the industry. I get to play on some of the coolest equipment ever. Talk coffee nine to five and then some more! Super stoked to see where the next five years will take this project.
