What an unforgettable week of culinary mastery.

We had the extraordinary privilege of serving Chef Alain Roux's iconic dishes at Amura, perfectly prepared by Chef Alain's second-in-command, Chef Michael Nizzero.

The week's finale featured Chef Alain and Chef Ángel León working side by side in our Amura kitchen for an unprecedented dining experience, bringing together six Michelin Stars for the first time in South Africa.

The wait is over. We have spent the last few weeks gathering fresh inspiration and perfecting our marine creations, and we cannot wait to welcome you back to our table.

With many exciting evenings on the horizon. From August 13th to 15th, 2026,  Michelin-starred Chef Alain Roux,accompanied by Chef Wandile Mabaso, will treat guests to a six-course French-style menu crafted from local SouthAfrican ingredients. 

The grand finale on August 16th, 2026, will see Chef Alain and Chef Ángel present their 'pièce de résistance'—a sixcourse menus featuring a curated selection of their signature dishes.

Behind the scenes the Amura team is hard at work preparing for our next chapter. ​

Two of our dedicated chefs, Kwame Motjuwadi and Gopolang Modika are currently honing their skills at Aponiente, Angel Leon's flagship restaurant in Spain. ​

​There they will be working alongside the team, immersing themselves in techniques that define Chef Angel's culinary vision and style. We are excited to welcome them back into our kitchens in August.

To celebrate our collaboration with Anthm Cocktail Bar, we welcomed guests to an evening of marine dining and exceptional cocktail craftsmanship.

Guests experienced our Chef's Journey menu, thoughtfully paired with bespoke cocktails by renowned mixologist Tetsuo Hasegawa, creating an unforgettable culinary experience.
