I went down to Bu Ba Qs in Echo Beach last week.
They have extended to roof so it can now hold many more people and easily cater to large parties.
Live music most nights, with what they describe as Bali's best ribs, good steaks and a good, Westerner-friendly Asian menu, cheap beer, a fun place to eat.
Great views too. Worth a visit

After some time since I was previously there, I went to Ingka in Jl Mertinadi in Kerobokan recently. I am starting to wonder if it may be one of Bali's best restaurants! Big call, but really nice ambience, very nice decor, quite good food and low pricing. Certainly one of the best value restaurants.
it is pretty busy with the kind of clientele most restaurants aim for.

I recently found Ili Kitchen on Gatot Subroto at the Kerobokan end just down from Tiara Gatsu - nice clean space, clean and cheap Asian and Indo food, I like it.

I checked out Shanghai Baby nightclub in Petitenget again last week, and I must say itr is my fave late night spot in Bali. More laid back, free admission, not being gouged for drinks, good music, couches you do not have pay to sit on. Good concept, seems to be working so far.

Litut Porky Duck in Jl Methinadi in Seminyak has just reopened after remodelling. Now open for breakfast and with live music several evenings a week, a new menu, plus of course the pool table, Litut is becoming a classy restaurant come bar.
Litut now has a big screen where AFL and international sporting events are shown.

The options for dining out in Kuta Lombok have improved dramatically over the last couple of years, and Bucu bar and restaurant is certainly up there in terms of quality and price.
