Although it is lemon blueberry season, chocolate always has my heart. You can’t go wrong with my chocolate chip/chunk sourdough scones or my brown butter chocolate chip cookies for any chocolate lover but there’s just something about a really good scone 🤍

I’ve spent a lot of time perfecting mine, and they’ve become such a staple for a reason. They’re that perfect in-between—not quite a muffin, not quite a cookie… but the best of both. Slightly crisp and golden on the outside, soft, tender, and buttery on the inside.

They’ve been a consistent favorite at the farmers market, and honestly, I get it 🫶🏼

What makes them even more special? I offer them both with and without sourdough. My sourdough scones go through a longer fermentation, which helps break down the gluten, supports digestion, and adds that subtle depth of flavor you just can’t rush. It’s the kind of difference you can taste.

Whether you’re grabbing one for a slow morning coffee or adding them to a box to share, they’re one of my absolute favorite things to make—and I think that shows in every batch 🤍
