We never thought we’d have to share something like this.

Today, someone had a meal at RUANG, told our staff he was stepping outside to make a call and never came back to settle the bill.

If someone is genuinely hungry and unable to afford a meal, talk to us. If we can help, we will. But from what was ordered and how things unfolded, this clearly wasn’t about hunger.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.

We’ve chosen to let previous incidents go quietly, but when it happens again, we feel we have no choice but to speak up.

It’s not about the amount. It’s about honesty and respect for the people behind a small business.

We could easily identify you, but we’re choosing not to put your face out there. We simply hope you’ll do the right thing.

And we hope this post serves as a reminder:

Please don’t mistake kindness for an opportunity to take advantage of it.

Small businesses work hard for every customer, every table and every sale.

A little honesty and respect really does matter. 🤎
