Hello guys, it comes with a heavy heart to announce that Pomelo will now seize to exist 😞
The past four years of cooking burgers for the residents and visitors (from all over the world) of Ta Van have been both challenging and rewarding. Running the restaurant on my own presented a host of new challenges, but seeing the delight on my guests’ faces as they enjoyed my homemade triple-cooked chips, consistently clearing away empty plates, and receiving positive feedback both in person and via Google reviews assured me that I was providing a valuable service to Ta Van. Unfortunately, for the business to continue and grow, many factors needed to align, which hasn’t happened, leading to the closure of Pomelo.
I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to pomelo for a proper burger or just came by for a drink and to enjoy the atmosphere. The local businesses who supported me even with my inconsistent opening hours 🫶 And a Special Thank you to the small clan of friends who jumped in to help me when the mess really hit the fan, VTC ain’t nuthin to have a altercation with!
All the best and never give up…but also realise when it is time to give up, just don’t call it giving up, call it moving on.
