IN THE HEART OF THE OLD TOWN
Many guests find their way to An An after wandering through almost every corner of Hoi An.

Some come in simply to escape the afternoon sun. Others are looking for a comforting Vietnamese meal after a long day of exploring. And somehow, they often end up staying a little longer than planned - one more drink, a few more stories, a little sunlight filtering through the veranda, and the greenery just outside.

Tucked among the yellow walls of Hoi An’s Old Town, An An isn’t meant to stand out. We simply open our doors each day, keeping the wooden windows, the greenery by the veranda, and a quiet space where you can slow down, enjoy a warm meal, and let Hoi An pass by gently.

So, if you happen to walk down this street one day, we hope you’ll stop by.
Perhaps, somewhere in the heart of the Old Town, you’ll find a little corner that makes you want to come back. 🤎

Có nhiều người ghé AnAn sau khi đã đi gần hết một vòng Hội An.

Có người chỉ định vào để tránh nắng một chút, có người tìm một bữa cơm Việt sau cả ngày rong ruổi. Rồi từ lúc nào chẳng hay, họ ở lại lâu hơn dự định. Thêm một ly nước, thêm vài câu chuyện, thêm chút nắng len qua hiên nhà và khoảng xanh trước cửa quán.

Anan nằm nép mình giữa những bức tường vàng của phố cổ, không quá nổi bật, chỉ lặng lẽ mở cửa mỗi ngày. Tụi mình giữ lại những ô cửa gỗ, hàng cây trước hiên và một không gian đủ yên để người ta có thể ngồi chậm lại, ăn một bữa cơm nóng và nghe Hội An trôi qua thật nhẹ.

Nếu một ngày đi ngang con phố này, mong bạn cũng sẽ ghé vào. Biết đâu, giữa lòng phố cổ, bạn lại tìm thấy một góc nhỏ khiến bạn muốn quay lại thêm lần nữa. 🤎

BRINGING SOUL TO EVERY FLAVOR
We once spent quite a bit of time choosing… just one bowl.

It might sound a little excessive, but we’ve always believed that good food feels even more complete when it’s served in the right bowl, on the right plate. Nothing too elaborate - just something that feels warm at first glance and familiar in your hands.

Perhaps that’s why, at An An, everything from the dishes we serve to the ceramic bowls on the table is chosen with the same care and thoughtfulness.
We hope you’ll come to appreciate these little details too, just as much as we did when we were first bringing An An to life. 🤎

THỔI HỒN VÀO HƯƠNG VỊ
Tụi mình từng mất khá nhiều thời gian chỉ để chọn… một chiếc chén.

Nghe thì có vẻ hơi "làm quá", nhưng tụi mình luôn tin rằng món ăn ngon sẽ trọn vẹn hơn khi được đặt đúng chiếc bát, đúng chiếc dĩa. Không cần cầu kỳ, chỉ cần nhìn vào là thấy ấm, cầm lên là thấy quen.

Có lẽ vì vậy mà ở AnAn, từ món ăn đến chiếc chén gốm trên bàn, mọi thứ đều được tụi mình chọn với cùng một sự chăm chút.

A TRAVELER FROM AFAR
"During my days in Hoi An, I kept looking for a Vietnamese home-style restaurant with flavors that felt just right, but never quite found one. Then a friend recommended An An, and I finally breathed a sigh of relief: ‘This is the meal I’ve been looking for.’"

It was only a few simple words, but they meant so much to us.
Since the day we opened, we’ve always hoped that every guest who walks through An An’s doors can find a meal that feels just right - authentic, comforting, reasonably priced, and familiar enough to be remembered, even if they’re only in Hoi An for a few days.

There’s an unspoken “rule” at An An.
Every bowl has to be placed just right. Every pair of chopsticks neatly aligned. And before a guest sits down, the table is always given one last little touch.

Sometimes, we joke that our owner is a little too particular. But in the end, we all understand that this attention to detail has never been about making everything look perfect. It’s about making every guest feel cared for, starting with the smallest things.

Because perhaps a good meal is about more than just the food.
It’s also about the feeling that everything has been thoughtfully prepared, just for you. 🤎

Có một "quy tắc ngầm" ở AnAn.
Chiếc bát phải được đặt ngay ngắn. Đôi đũa phải thẳng hàng. Bàn ăn luôn được chỉnh lại thêm một lần trước khi khách ngồi xuống.

Many people ask us: with so many international visitors coming to Hoi An, why does An An still choose to serve familiar Vietnamese home-style dishes?

Perhaps because we’ve always believed that what makes a journey truly memorable is not only the places you see, but also the flavors that belong to that place. A comforting Vietnamese meal, dishes that locals enjoy every day, and the simple feeling of everyone gathering around the same table.

If someone leaves Hoi An and still remembers a meal at An An, that would make us incredibly happy. Because what they remember is not just the food, but also a small piece of Vietnamese culture that they got to experience along the way. 🤎

The person sitting across from you? Or simply the food, because you’re too hungry to notice anything else?
At An An, we find ourselves drawn to the little things. The delicate patterns on a ceramic bowl, the way chopsticks rest beside a plate, or the sunlight gently falling across the table. Small, ordinary details that quietly shape how a meal feels.

Because sometimes, you have to come a little closer to notice what makes a place feel like home.

WHY “YÊU THƯƠNG” IS MORE THAN JUST A NAME
There’s something strange about growing up - the older we get, the more we find ourselves missing the meals we once thought were ordinary.

A shrimp peeled for us, a piece of fish gently placed in our bowl, or the familiar question, “Would you like some more rice?” asked day after day.
Only when we grow older do we realize that love doesn’t always need to be spoken. Sometimes, it quietly lives in a shared meal, in the little acts of care from someone who simply wants to see us well-fed and happy.

That’s why we named this set “Yêu Thương” - Love.
So that when you sit down at An An, you might catch a glimpse of those family meals we grew up with, where love always begins with the simplest things. 🤎🍚

TẠI SAO LẠI LÀ "YÊU THƯƠNG"?
Có một điều rất lạ, càng lớn, người ta càng nhớ những bữa cơm từng nghĩ là bình thường. Một con tôm được bóc sẵn, miếng cá được gắp vào bát, hay câu hỏi "Ăn thêm cơm không?" cứ lặp đi lặp lại mỗi ngày.

Đến khi lớn lên mới hiểu, yêu thương đôi khi chẳng cần nói thành lời. Nó lặng lẽ nằm trong một mâm cơm, trong sự chăm chút của người luôn mong mình ăn ngon và đủ.

Vì vậy, tụi mình đặt tên set ăn này là "Yêu Thương". Để khi ngồi xuống ở AnAn, bạn sẽ thấy đâu đó hình bóng của những bữa cơm nhà, nơi yêu thương luôn bắt đầu từ những điều giản dị nhất. 🤎🍚

NOTHING AT AN AN IS THERE BY CHANCE
If you look closely, you’ll notice familiar touches throughout An An - natural wood, bamboo blinds, greenery, and little paintings on the walls. We chose them not simply to make the space more beautiful, but to create a sense of familiarity, so that stepping into An An feels a little like visiting a home in Hoi An.

We believe the feeling of a meal comes from more than just the food. It lives in the sunlight gently filtering through the windows, the soft sound of a wooden chair as someone takes a seat, or a quiet little corner where everyone can stay a little longer together.

When you visit An An, we hope you’ll remember not only the flavors of your meal, but also the sense of peace we’ve tucked into every little corner of this home. 🤎

MỌI CHẤT LIỆU VỐN CHẲNG NGẪU NHIÊN
Nếu để ý, bạn sẽ thấy ở AnAn có khá nhiều chất liệu quen thuộc: gỗ, rèm trúc, cây xanh hay những bức tranh nhỏ trên tường. Tụi mình chọn chúng không phải để không gian đẹp hơn, mà để khi bước vào, ai cũng thấy gần gũi như đang ghé thăm một căn nhà ở Hội An.

Tụi mình tin rằng cảm giác của một bữa cơm không chỉ đến từ món ăn. Nó còn đến từ ánh nắng len qua khung cửa, tiếng ghế gỗ khẽ dịch khi có người ngồi xuống, hay một góc nhỏ đủ yên để mọi người ngồi lại với nhau lâu hơn một chút.

Khi ghé AnAn, mong rằng bạn sẽ không chỉ nhớ hương vị của bữa cơm mà còn nhớ cả cảm giác bình yên mà tụi mình đã gửi gắm trong từng góc nhỏ của căn nhà này. 🤎
