They had a whole list of "must-sees" for their Vietnam trip. A cooking class wasn't originally the headline.

But somewhere between the morning market, the herb garden at Tra Que, and the first bite of a spring roll they rolled themselves โ€” this became the moment they keep talking about.

They cooked side by side. Debated sweetly over how tight to roll the bรกnh xรจo. Laughed every time Min corrected their pronunciation of "nฦฐแป›c mแบฏm." By the time they sat down to eat what they'd made โ€” in the garden, hand in hand โ€” they weren't tourists anymore. Just two people sharing a meal they built together, in a country neither of them wanted to leave.

"We've eaten in some incredible places back in France," Hugo said. "But nothing tasted quite like this."

Some travel memories are made in five-star restaurants.

A journey home, shared across generations. ๐Ÿ’š

Some family holidays are about seeing famous places.

Others are about helping your children discover where they come from.

This beautiful family came from the United States, but their hearts still carry deep Asian roots.

For the parents, it was a chance to reconnect with familiar traditions.

For their three boys, it was something completely new.

Not through a museum.

Not from a history book.

But by living it.

Their day began wandering through Hoi An's local market, discovering fresh ingredients that have been part of Vietnamese kitchens for generations.

Then they arrived at the peaceful gardens of Tra Que Village.

The boys rolled up their sleeves, planted young vegetables with their own hands, watered them using traditional farming methods, and laughed as they discovered that being a Vietnamese farmer isn't as easy as it looks.

Later, everyone gathered in the kitchen.

No phones.

No distractions.

Just one family cooking side by side.

Spring rolls were carefully rolled.

Vietnamese herbs were tasted for the very first time.

Three mates. One day. A story they'll tell for years. ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ’š

Every trip has that one day everyone keeps talking about.

For these three friends from Australia, that day happened in the countryside of Hoi An.

It started with a bike ride through quiet rice fields, where the only traffic was water buffaloes and friendly locals waving hello.

Then came the basket boat.

None of them expected to laugh so much while trying to keep their balance, spinning through the coconut forest and cheering each other on.

But the best part was still waiting.

A few hours later, they swapped bicycles for chef hats.

Suddenly, three mates who had probably never cooked together before were rolling fresh spring rolls, chopping herbs picked from Tra Que Village, and competing to see who could create the best Vietnamese dish.

There were plenty of laughs.

A few "Michelin-worthy" Bรกnh Xรจo.

And one chef's knife that somehow made everyone feel like a professional chef. ๐Ÿ˜„

By the end of the day, they hadn't just discovered Vietnamese cuisine.

Within minutes, our kitchen was filled with jokes, friendly competition, and plenty of laughter.

One guest proudly claimed to have made the perfect spring roll.
