𝑫𝒂̣ 𝑵𝒈𝒐̣𝒄 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒉 𝑪𝒉𝒂̂𝒖 - 𝒄𝒉𝒖𝒐̂̃𝒊 𝒏𝒈𝒐̣𝒄 𝒄𝒖̉𝒂 𝒎𝒖̀𝒂 𝒙𝒖𝒂̂𝒏
Ngày nhỏ, tôi có một bà ngoại nuôi ở Saigon. Mỗi trưa tan học thời cấp một cấp hai, tôi sẽ không về nhà, mà đi bộ về nhà bà ngoại nuôi để ăn cơm nghỉ trưa, vừa chơi với bà vừa xoa bóp tay chân cho bà. Trước hiên nhà có 2 cây chuỗi ngọc và dạ ngọc minh châu rất lớn. Cây chuỗi ngọc nở quanh năm. Còn dạ ngọc minh châu cứ thấy hoa nở là biết Tết về. Mỗi lần mở cái cổng nhà, thấy hai cái cây lớn rũ xuống khều khều vào người, đứa trẻ con cảm thấy tới nhà mà mình được ôm ấp.
Dạo cuối mùa hè năm ngoái, chúng tôi đến khu vườn của khách sạn Hà An trước đây, bây giờ là Cafe des Copains Hội An, bắt đầu dọn dẹp và làm vườn. Trong một khoảnh vườn, tôi thấy một bụi cây thân gỗ nhỏ, có dáng lá thiệt đẹp. Tôi dùng thời gian một buổi chiều để tỉa bớt chúng cho gọn, đan xen với mấy bụi hoa sử quân tử và chuối pháo. Tôi chẳng nhận ra chúng là lá của cây chi.
Tháng mười hai, chúng nở những nụ tròn màu nâu như từng trái ngọc. Nằm trên thảm cỏ, tôi nhìn những chuỗi ngọc nâu ấy, lạ lạ quen quen.
Tháng giêng tới, một màu trắng muốt của những chuỗi hoa thướt tha kiêu kỳ rũ xuống, tôi nhận ra chúng: 𝑫𝒂̣ 𝑵𝒈𝒐̣𝒄 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒉 𝑪𝒉𝒂̂𝒖 - 𝒄𝒉𝒖𝒐̂̃𝒊 𝒏𝒈𝒐̣𝒄 𝒄𝒖̉𝒂 𝒎𝒖̀𝒂 𝒙𝒖𝒂̂𝒏
Một buổi chiều nắng dịu, cái tiết trời se se xen lẫn ấm áp và gió nhẹ, ngồi trên thảm cỏ xanh, ngắm hàng trăm ngàn viên ngọc minh châu đung đưa theo làn gió,
với một ly latte ngon.
Mùa xuân tới rồi, ở khu vườn Cafe des Copains.

When I was young, I had a foster grandmother in Saigon. Every day after school, I would go to her house instead of going home. We would have lunch together, play, and I would even massage her hands and feet. 🤗
At her house, there were two beautiful pearl trees in the front yard. These trees bloomed all year round, but there was a special pearl flower tree that only blossomed when Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) was approaching. 🌿
Every time I opened the gate to her house, those two trees would sway and brush against me, making me feel so welcomed and loved. ❤️
Recently, I visited the former Hà An Hotel, which is now Café des Copains Hoi An, with my friends. We spent the day cleaning and gardening in the beautiful garden.
While working in one corner of the garden, I noticed a small woody shrub with stunning leaves. I spent the entire afternoon trimming and shaping it. Little did I know, those leaves were actually from the precious pearl tree. 🌱
In December, the tree bloomed with small, round brownish buds that resembled pearls. Looking at those clusters, I felt a mix of unfamiliarity and nostalgia. It was truly a magical sight. 😍
And finally, in January, the delicate flower clusters of the "Pearl Flowers" - gracefully fell down in a pale white color. It was a breathtaking moment.
Now, I find myself sitting in the garden of Café des Copains on a sunny afternoon. The air is filled with a pleasant mix of coolness and warmth, and a gentle breeze rustles through the leaves. As I admire the hundreds of pearl flowers swaying in the wind, I can't help but feel a sense of joy and contentment. And to top it off, I'm enjoying a delicious latte. ☕️
Spring has truly arrived in the Café des Copains garden.
