An art exhibition: "Those we almost found!"
Inspired by a verse by poet Bùi Minh Quốc, ‘Those we almost found’ brings together portrait works by Victoria Anne Snell and Xuân Quỳnh in a shared artistic encounter.
Each piece goes beyond an exploration of color, light, and material. It gathers emotions shaped over time, through meetings, quiet understanding, and moments of deep resonance between artist and sitter.
For Xuân Quỳnh, the portraits depict familiar faces rendered with stillness, restraint, and intimacy. Her works draw us inward, into subtle expressions and unspoken connections that feel both close and contemplative. Victoria Anne Snell, meanwhile, leads viewers into diverse cultural landscapes. In her paintings, women and children often stand at the intersection of geography, society, and class, becoming voices that speak across boundaries and articulate their own presence.
Two ways of seeing, one turned inward, the other opening outward, create a dialogue of contrast and harmony. In their parallel paths, ‘Those we almost found’ unfolds as a meditation on the fragile distance between noticing and overlooking, between familiarity and estrangement.
We warmly invite you to experience ‘Those we almost found’ to explore portraiture through the eyes of two artists and to reflect together on a quiet question: On the crowded road of life, how often have we passed one another without truly seeing?
