Grown at over 1,000 meters, highland Séng Cù rice is prized for its rich essence and delicate sweetness. At Gia, we use partially milled grains, keeping the bran intact to preserve the nutrients of this Northwestern “divine grain.”
Unlike common varieties, Séng Cù requires three hours of slow simmering to reach perfection. This patience allows each grain to bloom into a plump, rounded shape while remaining whole and smooth. As you dine, you will feel the distinct texture of the grains enveloped in a naturally creamy congee.
Through the slow harmony of fire and water, each bowl retains its lingering sweetness and fresh harvest scent, comforting the body with a simple, honest warmth.
