Sun Studio - Memphis-style Bar and Grill

15/07/2026

Hello~
We are hiring!

Seeking people who love food, drink, and entertainment, Sun Studio would love to hear from you.
We are a barbecue restaurant, but we also believe in fostering community. We will train you, but being comfortable serving food and cocktails is always a plus. We have competitive starting rates and are looking forward to fostering a fun and creative work environment.

Plus, the sooner we have staff, the sooner we can start serving up some grub!

I bought an iPad for our POS system and set a wallpaper that I like.
Dad said “you’re free to change the iPad wallpaper if you’d like”
Apparently he woke up in the middle of the night and was greeted by a lovely metal singer when he went to charge it. How polite of him to ask that way 😂
Oopsie~

Watching some wrestling and making some cornbread. When’s the last time you had some good cornbread in Hanoi?
I’m happy with this recipe, we have a nice crust and a fluffy inside perfect for soaking up some stewed beans or pot liquor from greens 😎

We are waiting for our shelves to be installed to help us manage the small kitchen space and for our POS system to be set up, two big but impending steps on the way to opening. Until then, there’s not much testing left!

We been testing out recipes. Today we are working on cornbread and fried okra (And I’ll be showing y’all that, too)
If y’all have been to our pop-ups it would be so helpful to our brand new business to write a review of our food on your app of choice. i Left a link in the comments for our google maps reviews. It would mean the world to us!
Thank you and hope to see you all again soon!

Well, y'all. Testing cocktails has definitely been our favorite part of putting this menu together.
This is our Walk Me Down, one of my Nana's favorite drinks. She always used to go down to the blue monkey in Memphis and get her a few, always with an extra cherry, so we make it with an extra cherry.
It's our replacement for a long island, made with blue curacao and 7-up instead of cola.
