Mùa mưa đẹp nhưng cỏ mọc nhanh quá. 😂
Our Arabica farm project follows organic-oriented farming practices, including a ban on herbicides. However, unlike with Robusta—where I tend to be somewhat lax about mowing because the plants have a much stronger natural resilience—I apply a stricter, earlier mowing schedule for this new farm, given that Arabica plants are more delicate. I handle this task personally, as it allows me to observe the various flora and fauna within the garden.

Từ những mầm hoa bé xíu, hiện tại cuối tháng 9 trái cà phê đã chắc hạt và chuẩn bị cho vụ thu hoạch mới. Robusta và Arabica có sự chăm sóc khác nhau, một cây thì thích nắng, còn loại cây còn lại thì ưa bóng râm. Đó cũng là lý do mà chúng tôi có vài loại cây ăn trái trong vườn.
From tiny flower buds, by the end of September the coffee cherries have matured and are ready for a new harvest. Robusta and Arabica require different care; one plant prefers sun, while the other prefers shade. That's also why we have several fruit trees in the garden.

For the 2025 crop, we are primarily producing Honey-processed coffee. What distinguishes this from the Washed method is that the sugars within the fruit contribute to enhanced flavor; consequently, Honey processing (also known as Semi-Washed) offers unique characteristics that vary with each crop season—and even from month to month during the harvest.

Tiết Bạch Lộ báo hiệu mùa thu sắp đến, sáng nay farm có mây mù giăng liền một dải bên sườn đồi.

A month has passed, and the coffee plants on the farm have turned a deeper green than when we first arrived. I continue to monitor the growth of each individual plant. Some are parasitic; they sprout on a host tree, slowly draining its nutrients and killing it, before completing their growth cycle and dispersing to spread elsewhere.

Một cây cà phê Arabica trơ trọi giữa vườn cà phê Robusta ở độ cao 1000 m.
Nine years ago, when I established my first farm in this area about 1000m, we could intercrop 1,000 Arabica trees with 1,000 Robusta trees. I recall that rainfall was evenly distributed and the weather was cooler than it is now. However, Arabica plants have become increasingly weak and disease-prone, with shrinking leaf and fruit sizes, making sustainable cultivation very difficult. That is why I decided to establish a farm dedicated to Arabica cultivation at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters in Da Lat.

One of my annual activities involves providing technical support for sustainable coffee farming and observing issues within coffee cultivation and business to identify practical solutions for everyone.
I established my next farm in Da Lat with this very purpose in mind, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of my work and provide more effective support to farmers.
I am currently holding a technical support document that incorporates my contributions, but I plan to refine and update it based on the real-world insights I have gained from working on my own farm.

Although Da Lat experiences heavy rainfall, it also enjoys abundant sunshine; given the sloping terrain of our farm, I have never used herbicides—choosing instead to protect the soil. Furthermore, maintaining a constant cover of grass helps prevent certain sap-sucking insects from climbing onto the crops in search of food.
