🚨 long post alert
A year ago, Benye Bliss was born out of necessity.
And if I’m being completely transparent, the first packaging was giving very much: **“We have benyes to sell, put something on the bag and let’s GO.”** 😂
But that first year had a purpose. Before investing heavily into packaging, I needed to know if people would actually love the product. Would they buy it? Would they come back for another bag? Would it become something worth growing?
You answered that for me.
**One year later, Benye Bliss is still here, still selling, and still bringing people back for more.**
So this time, I wanted the packaging to mean something.
I wanted you to look at the bag and feel St. Croix before you ever tasted what was inside. The old Frederiksted streets. The fruit. The colors. The woman carrying her basket. The warmth and history of an island where recipes were passed down through kitchens, generations and memories.
Because benyes are more than something we fry.
For some of us, they sound like oil popping in Grandma’s kitchen. They smell like ripe bananas that needed to get used before they went bad. They taste like Sunday mornings, family gatherings, school fairs, food sales and somebody standing over the stove saying, **“Wait, these ain’t ready yet!”** 😂
Food has a way of taking us back.
And that is what I wanted this package to do.
The recipe hasn’t changed. The Benye Bliss you love hasn’t changed. But the presentation finally tells the story I always wanted this product to carry.
**A Taste of St. Croix. Made with intention.**
And if you’ve never tried Benye Bliss, I’m just saying... this might be your sign.
Because there are certain things you don’t realize you need in the pantry until the craving hits, somebody comes over, or those bananas on the counter start looking a little too ripe. 😏
**Add fruit. Fry. Enjoy.**
Same Benye Bliss.
A whole new chapter. ❤️
Thank you St. Croix for giving Benye Bliss an opportunity to shine. Thank you for all the packages sent abroad that contained a bag of Benye bliss! Thank you 🙏🏽
