We’re taking a little trip to Southern California tonight. No plane ticket required, folks!

From the mid-‘60s through the early ‘70s, a whole lot of musicians found themselves orbiting the creative world of Laurel Canyon—and somehow produced some of the most iconic, melodic, beautifully weird folk-rock and pop music of all time.

Tonight, Selector Nathan is digging into that era with music from Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Carole King, The Mamas & the Papas, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Frank Zappa and plenty more.

Blues, folk, rock & roll, country, bluegrass, and everything in between — all coming together during one of the most influential musical moments in American history.

And since tomorrow means alarm clocks, backpacks, and the first day of school for a whole lot of folks around here... we’re calling tonight one last little Monday escape before life gets a little more scheduled again.

Well, Labor Day Weekend is getting a little wet—but we know how to work with that.

We’re cozying up inside tonight, with the indoor bar open, dinner rolling from 3–9 PM, and live music from 7–9 PM.

Tonight, we’re welcoming Howard Buckbee to the indoor stage at Skyway for an eclectic evening of solo acoustic music. Howard brings his own folksy, bluesy take to favorites from the ’60s through the ’90s, with the kind of setlist that keeps you guessing. Taj Mahal, Dylan, the Moody Blues, the Dead—you never quite know where things might go.

Sounds like a pretty good Friday to us.

The rain finally showed up this week, and we sure were glad to see it! 🌧️ With fires burning nearby, we’re hoping it helps bring some much-needed relief to the woods and everyone working out there.

Today’s looking like a little bit of this, a little bit of that — some sun, maybe some rain — but we’re not mad about it. The outdoor bar is open rain or shine today, bundle up and grab a warm beverage and a table on the patio or head inside for all the cozy Skyway vibes.

Either way, Labor Day weekend is almost here... and Thursday is pretty much Friday when you’ve got a three-day weekend ahead…right?

That’s what Skyway has always been about — good food, familiar faces, and a place for folks to come together here on the mountain.
