Hello, Frank’s Family & Friends!

We’re honored to share an update with you on where things are at with Frank’s, in keeping with the standing goal of:
• preserving the Frank’s we all know & love - while setting Frank’s up for the future.
For those of you who haven’t heard - during the fire on April 18th, Frank’s down-draft hood/exhaust was destroyed. One major project - among others - through this season - is to install an updated exhaust system in Frank’s. Plans for this project are underway & details will be announced following full plan approval. Installing an updated exhaust system is an involved, timely, and exciting task. Since the fire - Frank’s currently has no kitchen ventilation/exhaust system, so we’re unable to prepare our burgers, fries or any fried food at this time.
SHORT-TERM : In the short-term, please know - we’ve pursued & proposed day-to-day outdoor grill/kitchen options & food trailers, etc.. However, these proposals have not panned out. Therefore, we’re currently doing the best we can by offering a limited menu for you.
The limited menu includes some of the favorites from Frank’s menu:
Pat’s Sloppy Joe (yes - this is Pat’s beloved recipe)
Pulled BBQ Pork
(Gluten-Free Buns are available.)
Frank’s Chili (add onion, cheddar, jalapeno etc, if you’d like.)
We also offer nachos, loaded nachos, side salads and a variety of potato chip flavors.
We’re serving Mac ‘n Cheese - kid style and also an “amped up” Mac ‘n Cheese.
We’re serving a variety of pizzas from The Farmhouse Restaurant in Zeeland.

We’re also serving Coconut Cream Pie.
We have coffee, pop, and a full bar, social-district approved.
Our Hours of Operation for the SHORT-TERM are:
Tuesdays, 4 PM - 9 PM
Fridays, 10:30 AM - 9 PM
Saturdays, 10:30 AM - 9 PM
…And we’re open during Downtown Zeeland Events, such as Music on Main, Zeelmania, Chalkfest & more. We’re also honoring pre-existing, grandfathered reservations.
LONG-TERM • For the LONG-TERM - We don’t have a timeline as to when Frank’s will fully re-open. We have speculation, but we aren’t ready to announce a timeline at this point. We do know - it’s going to be a while. We’re working with talented & supportive professionals on plans. Since the fire - here has been the timeline:

• Frank’s Team Rallies - evacuates our guests & themselves safely. During this time - we know that true colors of heart & soul for one another, for our guests & for Frank’s shined through. We Are Grateful for You. Thank You. 🙏
Early damage assessment shows to be mostly in the basement of Frank’s, where the down-draft hood used to live. Memorabilia has survived, although - there is smoke damage.
Fire Fighters - WOW. We Are Forever Grateful. ♥️ We can’t wait to cook & serve burgers & fries to you again. 🍔 Thank You!
Frank’s Team Continues to Rally • Showing up to help when not being asked, cleaning up & keeping things moving forward.
Following the fire, meetings begin with the health department, the City of Zeeland, Zeeland Fire Department, contractors, vendors & insurance.
During these meetings - we’re presenting the goal - that through this process - to preserve the Frank’s we all know & love while setting Frank’s up for the future.
So far, those involved with the project at Frank’s are supportive of meeting this goal with us. We’re thankful to share - the outcome is looking hopeful, promising & exciting!
Frank’s Team Keeps Rallying • Tuesday, April 21st - Frank’s East opens for Tuesday-night Trivia with a limited menu & limited hours of operation.
Meetings Continue. Professionals begin providing estimates.
Week of May 5th - ServePro/Prism begin removing memorabilia & articles from Frank’s for professional cleaning & treatment of smoke damage. The articles are handled as the museum treasures that they are. These articles will be returned to their rightful places in due time.
Meetings Continue. Professionals continue providing estimates. As many of you know - it’s quite a process that helps develop patience.
Which brings us to today - Saturday, May 30th - Frank’s East remains open with limited hours and our limited menu. We are open today, 10:30 am - 9 pm.
This coming week - Frank’s East will be open:
Tuesday, June 2nd, 4-9 pm (Trivia)
Thursday, June 4th, 4-9 pm (Music on Main)
Friday, June 5th, 10:30 am - 9 pm
Saturday, June 6th, 10:30 am - 9 pm
Music on Main • This coming Thursday, June 4th, marks Downtown Zeeland’s First Music on Main Event for the season! We’re so excited! Frank’s Hot Dog Cart will be parked outside, just like last year during Music on Main & Frank’s East will be open to serve you.
We’ll continue to provide updates as we are able. Just know - if you don’t already - our hearts & brains don’t shut off. In fact - we are spinning even faster in this season of patient waiting & preparing for what’s to come. We’re trusting God Almighty & leaning on Him with every step. Frank’s Days are far from over. We’re honored & humbled to help move Frank’s into this next season of life. Believe me - I’m NOT a fan of change.
