It’s hard to believe it’s been 7 years since we opened our very first brick and mortar location.

We chose to open on April 1, 2019 April Fools’ Day. It also happened to be a Monday, the first day of the county fair, and historically a slow day in the restaurant world. We thought it might give us a chance to ease in, find our rhythm, and get our feet under us as we started this new adventure.

At the time, Ashley was 7 months pregnant, and we had both taken the week off from our jobs to see if this little passion project really had a chance. Opening on April Fools’ Day felt fitting. If it all went terribly, we could always laugh and say, “Just kidding.”

But then something incredible happened.
We sold out every single day that first week by noon. By the end of that week, we had hired our first employees and, without even realizing it, worked our last shifts for someone else.

Over the past 7 years, this journey has given us more than we ever could have imagined. It has brought us unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and a community we are endlessly grateful for.

Today, we’re celebrating all of the people who made this dream possible: our amazing community, our staff who became family, our former employers and mentors who helped guide us, our kids who embraced the chaos right alongside us, and every single person who has supported us along the way.

Thank you for believing in us, showing up for us, and helping turn our dream into something so much bigger than we ever imagined.

Sooo it’s that time of year….we once again forgot to post about it….and it’s the last day to vote sooooo if ya wouldn’t mind Voting for our quaint little coffeehouse for best coffeehouse and best outdoor dining that’d be splendid. We would ask you to vote for us for best breakfast again. We won it last year but this year we weren’t even a nominee. 🤷🏽
