Father’s Day is right around the corner. We are proud to team up, once again, with the Siskiyou County Cattlewomen. Their “Beef For Fathers Day” promotion has 2 ways to win a $100 Gift Card to Black Bart's Grill.

On Friday, June 12th, any BEEF purchase of $25 or more at Miner St. Meat Market will get you an entry into their drawing. Limited number of tickets so get yours early before they are gone.

The second way to enter…on Saturday, June 13th Black Bart's Grill is featuring our famous Smoked Prime Rib Dinner. Each dinner will give you an entry into their drawing as well. And the answer is YES…you may enter both days…Friday at Miner St. Meat Market AND Saturday at Black Bart’s Grill.

The Siskiyou County Cattlewomen will announce their winner on or before June 21st. We are happy to team up with such a fine organization that is the spearhead of promoting BEEF in our county.

Miner St. Meat Market is located at 200 W. Miner St. in Historic Old Town Yreka. Hours are 10am-5:30pm Monday-Saturday.

Black Bart's Grill is adjacent to us at 202 W. Miner St. Hours for dinner on Saturday, June 13th are 5pm-8pm. Reservations are recommended via text to 530-340-5354.

Just a reminder that we have tickets still available for Austin’s Posse Drive Thru Dinner Fundraiser. The event is Sunday, May 17th, from 12-2pm in the Evergreen School Parking lot. The menu includes: Smoked St. Louis Ribs, Marinated Chicken Thighs, Mashed Potatoes and a dinner roll. Tickets are $25 each. Please buy a ticket instead of just showing up as we are close to selling out and need to know how much food to prepare. There are several gift baskets that are also available for raffle tickets. These baskets will be on display at the event and you may purchase tickets for those at that time. The drawing for the basket winners will be held by the persons putting that fundraiser together. We hope to see you Sunday at Evergreen School from 12-2pm.

Finally...it's happening. We are hosting Austin's Posse: A Drive Thru Dinner Fundraiser to support Austin Hoy as he battles cancer. This event is limited to the 1st 200 who purchase tickets. Here are the details:

Date: Sunday, May 17th, 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM
Location: Evergreen School Parking Lot, 416 Evergreen Lane, Yreka

Menu:
Smoked St. Louis Ribs
Grilled Marinated Chicken Thighs
Mashed Potatoes
Dinner Roll

Cost: $25 (all profits go directly to our FBO Austin Hoy account at Siskiyou Credit Union) Donations Welcome

Raffle tickets for prize baskets also available at the dinner. Drawing will be held after the drive through fundraiser dinner.

Happy Monday…Miner St. Meat Market will be CLOSED, Monday-Tuesday, February 9th-10th as we are installing new flooring in multiple areas of our workspace. We will re-open on Wednesday, February 11th at 10am with normal business hours the rest of the week.

In other news, many of you are asking for an update on Austin, our manager. He is now home recovering from his 9 hour spinal surgery where the neuro-surgeon removed a large mass growing inside the spinal column. It was causing pressure and intense pain and numbness for Austin. There are more surgeries ahead and then possible treatments when biopsy results come back. He will be out of work for an extended time which is why we have started Austin’s Posse. There are several ways to donate to this fund to help Austin with his living expenses during the next few months. Siskiyou Credit Union has an account you can donate to in person. Just ask the tellers there. Also you can stop by Miner St. Meat Market and we have a jar to drop cash donations. Lastly, I am using my Venmo account to make remote donations easy for anyone who has Venmo. Just attach a note “Austin’s Posse” with each donation. Austin’s Posse
Community Support for One of Our Own
Many of you have reached out asking how you can help our Miner St. Meat Market manager, Austin, as he recovers from recent emergency spinal surgery.
With Austin’s permission, we’re sharing that he is facing an extended post-surgery recovery period. While his major medical expenses are covered, there will be significant out-of-pocket costs over the coming months, including travel for out-of-town medical care, follow-up visits, surgeries and treatments, medications, and the reality of lost work income while his regular monthly bills continue.
In true small-town fashion, we’re coming together as Austin’s Posse… a community showing up to support one of our own during recovery.
We are currently setting up a donation account at Siskiyou Credit Union. Any amount helps, and just as importantly, your encouragement and support mean the world to Austin and his family.

To our valued customers and community,

As the saying goes, when it rains, it pours... and today is one of those days for us.

Due to an unexpected staffing shortage, Miner St. Meat Market will be closed today, Monday 2/2/26. We currently have 5 of our 11 team members out on short-term disability (non-work-related), which has temporarily stretched our ability to operate safely and at the level of quality you expect from us.

The most significant and sudden impact is that our Meat Market manager, Austin, underwent emergency spinal surgery yesterday to remove several masses and is now recovering in Portland, Oregon. His absence, (combined with the others) made today’s closure unavoidable.

We fully expect to reopen tomorrow and resume regular hours. We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we navigate through this.

Many of you have already asked how you can help Austin... more details on community support will be shared very soon.
