✨ TRUE STORY TUESDAY ✨

While I was in Culinary School, I had to complete two externships. One of them was at Harrah’s Casino & Hotel in Shreveport, Louisiana. I worked in the bakery that supplied the buffet, café, and fine-dining restaurant.

My very first task was decorating cakes for the buffet. There were several different flavors, with multiple cakes of each flavor being made and decorated every single day. On average, I decorated around 80 cakes a day!

I was being trained by an older woman named Ms. Ruth. After two weeks of training me on cake decorating, she looked at me and said:

“Honey, maybe you should pick another profession. You’re just not cutting it.”😳

Well… if only Ms. Ruth could see me today! 😂🎂
