Thank you Isaac Horning for this delightful sketch of our storefront! It’s a wonderful memento of our business that we poured our hearts and soul into for 16 years and allowed us to meet so many lovely people such as you and your parents.

We’re still part of downtown York as we’re hoping to lease the restaurant soon and want to take this moment to remind everyone to support local!

Today is First Friday and it’s just the beginning of the downtown spring and summer events at Continental Square, Royal District, WeCo, and along Beaver Street in the Market District.

Help keep our local economy healthy by spending some of your time and money here. Meet your neighbors who create jobs and products right here in York. If you haven’t been downtown in a while, now is a good time to start!

Thank you for making our final weekend at Esaan a vibrant, heart-warming send off with many friends doing what we loved for Esaan to be: a comfortable place to sit back and relax and enjoy good food with good company.

You all did not disappoint and we were sad to miss many of you who were not able to join us. A few folks even stopped in to say hello and share good wishes for Sam & Jai’s retirement. It still amazes us at how many people supported our restaurant over the years and especially here at the end. It’s been such a pleasure to meet so many really nice, kind, and generous people.

Thank you for the flowers, gifts, cards and good wishes. Valued Esaan guests - Thank you so much for the privilege of serving you over the past 16 years.

We are retiring and will be closing Esaan’s doors at the end of March, and we are eager to enjoy new adventures in our lives. It has been our absolute pleasure serving you and a privilege to share our love of Thai food and gelato with you.

We opened in 2009 to bring fresh Thai food & gelato to York and are so grateful for how you embraced us over the years. Thank you and we will miss you!

Finally, we could not have shared Esaan with you over the years without our wonderful staff that made our business successful and a pleasure to operate, and we thank each and every one of them.

Khao Pad or Thai Fried Rice is simple ingredients that make a simply delicious dinner. Chicken and shrimp with Thai jasmine rice and a fried egg on top to be broken and drizzled in the rice right before eating.

We’re bringing back this popular dish as an entree choice along with a few others for our Prix Fixe dinner this weekend. New menu for First Friday and Valentine’s Day coming next week 🥰
