In addition to our wholesale ice cream, we enjoy taking our ice cream mobile with our adorable concession trailer, which we use mostly for weddings and corporate events. Way back in the 1930′s Great Grandpa Beck whipped up some delicious homemade ice cream in his garage. As word got out, more people started inviting him over for get-togethers and parties. Great Grandpa Beck’s popularity grew overn
ight and he realized he was onto something good. Soon he was forced to start charging his newfound “friends” for the ice cream and his business moved from the garage to the first floor in a hurry. Then in 1950, Great Grandpa Beck teamed up with Grandpa Beck to sell bottled milk from home to home. Together they built a solid foundation for Beck’s Ice Cream. One of honesty, integrity, and HUGE portions. In 1979, Jerry and Lynne hopped on the family ice cream train and opened Beck’s Ice Cream Parlor and Restaurant. Jerry loves good food. And lots of it. Beck’s was everything homemade and more. Jerry fed you until you burst, never ceasing to surprise you with a new concoction or another “on the house” root beer float–just as soon as you downed the last five. The Roosevelt Ave. restaurant has since closed, but the old-fashioned goodness of Beck's Ice Cream continues to delight. Jerry's middle daughter, Deanna, has joined him, learning to make the delicious ice cream that people all over York have enjoyed. Their ice cream can be found in multiple locations throughout the greater York area and they've gone mobile with their ice cream catering, serving delicious scoops for private events (weddings, corporate events, etc).
