There really aren’t enough words to thank this community for the way you have loved and supported us since the day of the fire. ❤️🦅

From day one, you showed up.

You checked on our family. You supported our staff when they suddenly found themselves without the place they came to work every day. You donated, shared our posts, attended fundraisers, sent messages, stopped us in public to ask how things were going, and continued reminding us that you haven’t forgotten about us.

Before we say anything else about August 29, we want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our employee fund.

Thank you to the businesses and individuals who donated their time, food, services, raffle and auction items, and spaces.

Thank you to everyone who came to our previous fundraisers, made a donation, shared an event, or simply showed up for our people.

You have helped take care of our employees during one of the hardest chapters Eagles Nest has ever faced, and we will never forget it. ❤️

We also want to give a very special thank you to Local 21 News for continuing to follow our story and helping keep everyone updated on the progress we’ve been sharing here on Facebook. It means so much to know that even while our doors are closed, our story and our people haven’t been forgotten.

Because the truth is…

We miss you guys.

And when we say that, we really mean it.

One of the greatest things about Eagles Nest has always been the relationships that have grown inside those walls, and Abby and Michael are such a perfect example of that. ❤️

Abby and Michael were actually friends of our family long before we ever bought Eagles Nest. But once we took over the restaurant, they quickly became regulars too, and before long, they weren’t just close with our family anymore. They became close with our entire Nest family.

They got to know our staff. Our staff got to know them. They became familiar faces around the restaurant and part of that group of people who helped make Eagles Nest feel like so much more than a business.

Yesterday, I got to celebrate Abby with her bridal party, friends, and family, and it was one of those days that reminded me just how special the relationships surrounding this restaurant really are.

And somehow the day ended with Abby and me swimming in the pond, getting some much needed one on one time to catch up. 😂❤️

Abby, girl, you are truly one of my best friends. I love you with my whole heart and you are like a sister to me. I am so incredibly happy for you and Michael, and I wish the absolute world for you both. I cannot WAIT to watch you two tie the knot! 💍❤️

And THAT is what we mean when we say Eagles Nest is a family.

We miss our staff. We miss our regulars sitting at the bar. We miss the birthdays, anniversaries, family dinners, packed weekends, laughter coming from the dining room, and even those crazy nights when nobody had time to stop moving.

We miss seeing our friends walk through those doors.

We miss watching our friends become friends with our staff.

We miss watching all of those different relationships turn into one big Nest family.

We miss our people.

We miss you.

And we really, really miss our Nest. ❤️🦅

And now we finally get another night together.

🔥 OUR FINAL EAGLES NEST EMPLOYEE FUNDRAISER 🔥

📅 Saturday, August 29
⏰ 5:00–9:00 PM
📍 The Victory Club
471 S. Ogontz Street, York, PA

And The Victory Club isn’t just giving us a place to gather.

Their chef has curated a special menu specifically for our Eagles Nest regulars! 🍽️❤️

And guys… their food is NO JOKE.

If you haven’t eaten there before, you’re in for a treat. They have gone out of their way to put together something special for our crowd, and we are incredibly grateful to them for opening their doors to us and helping make this final fundraiser feel like a true Eagles Nest family night.

Plus, we’ve got plenty happening throughout the evening:

🎶 THREE LIVE BANDS

• The Roy
• Oscar’s Box
• Feeling Good Garage

🎨 Caricatures from 6:00–9:00 PM

🎁 Silent Auction

👀 And a few more surprises throughout the evening!

Admission is a $10 non-member fee at the door and is first come, first served.

And here’s the part that matters most:

❤️ 10% of food proceeds
❤️ 100% of silent auction proceeds
❤️ 100% of caricature proceeds
❤️ 100% of the door fees

will go to our Eagles Nest Employee Fund, which has been helping support our employees while our doors remain closed and we continue rebuilding.

For months, this community has rallied around the people who spent years taking care of you.

The servers who knew your favorite table. The bartenders who remembered your drink. The kitchen crew behind your favorite meals. The people who celebrated your birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, family dinners, and milestones right alongside you.

This is our final fundraiser.

After this, our sights are set on what we’ve all been waiting for:

Getting our staff back to work and getting those doors OPEN. 🦅🔥

So whether you’ve attended every fundraiser, donated from afar, shared our posts, or simply continued cheering us on, thank you.

You have already done more for us than we could ever adequately put into words.

August 29 is our chance to get together one more time before we’re hopefully gathering somewhere much more familiar.

Come hungry. Come ready for some great music. Bid on something in the silent auction. Get a ridiculous caricature of yourself. 😂 Have some fun with us.

But most importantly…

Come let us see you.

We’ve spent months talking to you through a Facebook screen.

We are SO ready to actually hug you, catch up with you, laugh with you, and have our Eagles Nest family under one roof again. ❤️

🔥 Day 133 Update 🔥

The rebuilding isn’t just happening inside the restaurant. 🌿

Carlos and Jenrys have been hard at work tackling the jungle… I mean, the weeds… on the hill in our parking lot. 😂 The difference already is incredible, and I can’t wait to see it completely finished. It’s one of those little details that makes such a big impact, and it’s going to look absolutely beautiful when it’s done.

And in more exciting news… 🪑

The last shipment of our dining room chairs has officially arrived! That means every single chair is finally here.

Now comes the fun part… putting them all together. 😅 With more than 200 chairs waiting to be assembled, it’s safe to say we’ll be getting very familiar with instruction manuals and probably inventing a few new words along the way. But every chair we finish is one more step closer to reopening and welcoming all of you back home.

Little by little, piece by piece, we’re getting there. ❤️

Some messages hit a little harder than others.

Yesterday, another one of our employees reached out and simply said they’re ready to come home.

That one got me.

I know all of us are counting down the days until we can unlock those doors again, but no one is counting them more than the people who made Eagle’s Nest feel like home every single day.

This hasn’t just been about rebuilding a restaurant. It’s been about rebuilding a workplace, a routine, a family, and a place where so many memories were made.

I can’t wait for the day I get to call every single one of them and say, “It’s time. Come home.”

We’re getting closer. Every chair, every wall, every permit, every late night is one step toward that moment.

We’ll be waiting with open arms.

🚨🚨 EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨🚨

THIS IS NOT A DRILL…

✨ CHAIR REVEAL!!! ✨🪑

They’re here!!

After months of construction updates, permits, drywall, and dust, we finally have something exciting to show you…

Our dining room chairs have officially arrived! 🎉

Now for the funny part…

We’ve successfully assembled… 2 out of about 215 chairs. 😂

At this rate, we’ll all be professional furniture assemblers by the time we’re done. If you hear someone arguing with an Allen wrench, it’s probably one of us.

But let me tell you… I’ve been sitting in one of these chairs for about 45 minutes today. Purely for quality control, of course. 😏

And they’re COMFORTABLE. The backs are tall, everything is nicely cushioned, and I already know you’re going to love them. We wanted chairs you could settle into for another drink, another dessert, or just one more conversation.

Every chair we put together gets us one step closer to filling this place with all of you again.

Right now, our goal is to reopen sometime in November. As always, that depends on permits and final approvals, but hearing that timeline makes everything feel a little more real.

One thing we decided a long time ago was that when we did our soft openings, we didn’t want them to be just family and friends.

We wanted our community to be there.

You’ve been with us since day one. You’ve volunteered, donated, packed fundraiser after fundraiser, checked in on our staff, shared our posts, and reminded us what this restaurant truly means to so many people.

It only feels right that you get the first opportunity to experience the new Eagles Nest.

So make sure you’re following us on Facebook and Instagram because we’ll be posting our soft opening reservation links there. We have a feeling those spots are going to go pretty fast.

We’re getting closer.

One chair at a time.

And before long, these won’t just be empty seats. They’ll be filled with families, friends, celebrations, and all the moments we’ve missed over the last few months.

We truly can’t wait to welcome you back home. ❤️

Huge shoutout to Mike from Starview Brews in Columbia for stopping by and dropping off a sample of their newest brew! 🍻

Alright… if you’re a Yuengling drinker, I think you’re going to like this one. My personal take? It tastes like a lighter, crisper Yuengling. Super easy to drink and perfect for sitting outside this weekend.

If you haven’t checked out Starview yet, go show Mike and the crew some love. They’re awesome people making awesome beer. And while you’re there, do NOT skip the flatbreads on Friday. Trust me on that one. 🤤

Looks like we’re finally getting a beautiful weekend, so grab a few to go!

🍺 32 oz Crowlers: Around $8
🍻 Long Lever Lager 6 Packs: $15

Can’t make it to the brewery? Keep an eye on your local beer store because their 6 packs are starting to pop up there too!

Cheers to drinking local! 🍻

🚨 Day 131 Update 🔥

🚨 THE DINING ROOM CHAIRS HAVE ARRIVED! 🪑 🚨

This is not a drill.

Today’s delivery looked like a full blown cardboard takeover of the parking lot. 😂 The chairs for both dining rooms have officially landed, and seeing them stacked up out there makes this whole “we’re reopening soon” thing feel VERY real.

A huge thank you to UPS for getting everything here safely, and an even bigger shoutout to Carlos and Rick for unloading every single box. That was no small job. They definitely earned a cold drink or two after that workout.

Now… the real adventure begins.

If you remember when Rick and Shawn put together the bar chairs, that took them about four days and a lot of “where does this piece go?” moments. 😅

This time? We’re talking two entire dining rooms worth of chairs, so if you need them this week, there’s a good chance they’ll be buried under cardboard somewhere with an Allen wrench in hand, questioning their life choices. 🔧😂

I also wanted to give a quick construction update because I know a lot of you have been asking what’s next.

Right now, M&M Construction is on hold while we wait for our building permits to be finalized. We’re just waiting on a few final items from Warehous and the township. Once those are complete and the permits are issued, we’ll be back at it full speed.

We’re so close it’s almost hard to believe.

Every delivery, every box we open, every chair we assemble, and every mountain of cardboard we break down brings us one step closer to opening these doors again.

We miss you all more than you know. ❤️

We hope to see you on August 29 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Victory Athletic Association on Ogontz Street for our final fundraiser!

We’ll have great food, cold drinks, three amazing bands, a caricature artist, a silent auction, and a few surprises we’re keeping under wraps. 👀

The event is on our page, so be sure to mark yourself as “Going,” invite your friends and family, and help us pack the house one more time before we reopen.

One more big night together before we get back home. ❤️

❤️ OUR LAST FUNDRAISER FOR OUR EMPLOYEES ❤️

Well… this is it.

This is the last fundraiser we’ve planned to help the people who have always taken care of our guests: our Eagles Nest staff.

When the fire happened, our world changed overnight. We didn’t know what the road ahead would look like, but one thing became clear almost immediately: we weren’t walking it alone.

Over the past few months, you’ve donated, volunteered, shared our story, checked in on our staff, and shown our team more love than we ever thought possible. There truly aren’t words big enough to thank you.

Since April, you’ve packed Westgate, Starview Brewing, Scrubby’s, Lion Bowl, The Elks Club, and Gift Horse. Every stop along the way has been another reminder that this community always shows up when it matters most.

Now it’s Victory Athletic Association’s turn. Let’s fill the room one last time and show our Eagles Nest family what York is all about. ❤️🦅

📅 Saturday, August 29
📍 Victory Athletic Association
📍 471 S. Ogontz Street, York, PA
⏰ 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

🎟️ $10 cover for non members
❤️ 20% of all food sales will be donated directly to the Eagles Nest Employee Fundraiser

We’ll have:
🎸 Live music from The Roy, Feelin Good Garage Band, and Oscar’s Box
🍽️ A special menu crafted by the Victory chef just for our Eagles Nest family
🎨 Caricatures
🍔 Great food and drinks

If Eagles Nest has ever been where you celebrated a birthday, enjoyed date night, met up with friends, celebrated a wedding or shower, or simply shared a meal with the people you love, we’d be honored to have you with us one more time.

This fundraiser isn’t just about raising money. It’s about reminding our staff that they have a community standing behind them every step of the way.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for carrying us through one of the hardest chapters in Eagles Nest history. We will never forget the kindness you’ve shown us, and we can’t wait for the day we get to welcome you back through our doors.

Let’s make this last fundraiser the biggest one yet. 🦅❤️

Day 122 Update 🔥

Progress doesn’t always look pretty, but it’s progress.

We officially started receiving the new chafing dishes for our events, replacing the old ones one piece at a time. It may seem like a small thing, but every delivery gets us one step closer to reopening.

The old floors are also almost completely torn out, which means we’re getting ready for the next phase of the rebuild.

Huge shoutout to M&M Construction for all the hard work they’re putting in. We couldn’t do this without an incredible team helping bring Eagles Nest back to life.

One day closer. ❤️

Day 122 Update 🔥

For the first time in what feels like forever, I traded fire reports and manager mode for captain’s hats and beach vibes. 🩵⚓️

This week is all about celebrating my best friend Gab as she officially enters her bachelorette era. Between the casinos, a boat day, and seeing where each adventure takes us, I’m soaking up every second.

Working in this industry means nights, weekends, and holidays usually belong to everyone else. It doesn’t leave much time for the people who mean the most. So being here for one of my best friend’s biggest milestones is something I wouldn’t miss for the world.

They say friends are the family we choose. Mine have been there through the highs, the heartbreaks, and everything in between. Showing up for each other isn’t always about grand gestures. Sometimes it’s simply being there when it matters most.

If anyone knows Gab, you know she’s one of the kindest souls around. If you’d like to help us give the bride a few celebratory drinks, we put together a Venmo. Absolutely no pressure, but every little bit helps us keep the captain’s cup full. 🍾⚓️💕

Venmo:

A huge shoutout to Balloon Goons for the amazing balloon setup! 🎈💕 This was done by Gab’s sister-in-law, who is also one of my dear friends. She did such an incredible job making this celebration even more special. If anyone is looking for balloons for an event, definitely check her out!

Life is busy. Work is demanding. Tomorrow is never promised. So hug your people, celebrate the milestones, and never pass up the chance to make memories with the ones who make life worth living. ❤️🌊
