Ocean fishing for Salmon, Halibut and bottom fish and river fishing for Steelhead and Salmon. The Situk river host the largest native run of Steelhead left in the world and anglers from all over the world come to hook many fish a day. Open from April 1st through September 31st Glacier Bear Lodge has excellent fishing throughout the summer. The Hubberd glacier is near by and a favorite visit for clients as well as ice berg filled lakes.

GLACIER BEAR LODGE'S WATER IS BACK ON. We are opened back up today and our Lunch Special is Pulled Pork Sandwich, Soup of the Day is Broccoli Cheddar, and tonight's dinner is Bear Mac & Cheese. Thanks for your patience and those that assisted us. Come enjoy something delicious with us today.

SORRY YAKUTAT! - Glacier Bear Lodge's water pump went out so we don't have water in the Restaurant and Bar. We will be closed to the public or for Take Out this evening until anything changes. We will post updates here. So Sorry!!!

Glacier Bear Lodge will be closed for lunch today to support Fairweather Day! We'll be open for dinner tonight at 5:30pm for dinner service.

All 3 rods and reels have now been returned! Thanks to those instrumental in assisting with the return of the equipment for the guests' and our boat captain. Thanks Yakutat!

Thanks for the return of 2 of the 3 missing rod and reels from The Bear. The one still missing is the birthday present of a guests' son - its a black California (brand name) rod with a black 3-speed Avet Raptor reel that has a purple handle. Any help with the return of this set-up would be greatly appreciated, especially by the birthday boy and reward is still available! Contact Jody @ Glacier Bear Lodge.

We are sad to report that in the last 2 evenings we've had two (2) halibut rods & reels and one (1) ling cod rod & reel go missing from The Bear while tied to its slip in the harbor. We are offering a reward to anyone with any information that leads to their return. Please contact Jody at Glacier Bear Lodge. Thanks for your assistance!
