One chapter closes. Another begins. 🍕🍺

This is a bittersweet post to write.

After an incredibly challenging, rewarding and eye-opening journey, I’ve made the decision to close TRU Pizza Co. Wyandotte and step away from the TRU franchise.

We will officially be closing Sunday, August 30th.

I’m sad to close this chapter because I poured so much of myself into creating this space. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who walked through our doors, placed an order, attended an event, told a friend or simply rooted for us along the way.

If this experience has taught me anything, it’s how important it is to support the small businesses you want to see survive in your community. Every visit, order, recommendation and positive review matters more than most people realize.

But sometimes one door has to close for another one to open. And I couldn’t be more excited about what’s on the other side of this one.

Introducing... THE PIZZA BAR. 🍕🍻
Same location. Completely new concept.
The Pizza Bar

I don’t want The Pizza Bar to be another bar that happens to serve pizza. I want it to be an amazing pizza place that also happens to be one hell of a bar.

Think great pizza, cold b**r, cocktails, weekly trivia, music bingo, pizza & b**r nights, football watch parties, patio concerts, events and plenty of reasons to stick around after dinner.

The Pizza Bar will not be a dedicated allergen-free facility, but everything I’ve learned through TRU isn’t disappearing. We’ll continue to offer options for guests with dietary restrictions and do our best to make sure there’s something for everyone.

I’m leaving this chapter with a tremendous amount of gratitude, a whole lot of lessons learned, and more excitement about the future than I’ve felt in a long time.

Thank you to everyone who supported TRU Wyandotte and supported me throughout this crazy adventure.

Now it’s time to build something new.

I’ll see you at THE PIZZA BAR 🍕🍺
