I would like to thank both Patch and the News Herald for articles. I beleive both were fair. There was an understanding between my old landlord and myself of which the new landlord ignored. But the fact is the Grind is closed and could have survived had a new buyer been offered the true rent of 1500 per month. And the 19 years of rent paid far outweighs the rent owed.Now I have visit my store once again to have the vandalism caused by the new landlord coorrected. My children have had to read comments from a lot of very mean and viscious people. That is the worst part. I never personally attacked the new landlord or their children as were mine. I am above that. And if falling behind in rent one month a year caused the grind to remain open and give joy to its customers-so be it.

Hello all my Grind fans. I wanted to post something tomorrow-but I will do it today. I did not retire. I was forced to close because I couldn't sell my business and I could not afford the raised rent of the new landlords. $1500 to $2600 a month. I am NOT retiring. I need to find a full time job. I cannot tell you how it broke my heart that I will not see many of my customers. Your loyal patronage kept me alive. To me, the Grind was a family, not a business. I love you all and will miss you dearly!
