To book, please use our booking portal on stikineinn.com, email [email protected] or call 907 874 3388. The Stikine Inn in Wrangell Alaska is your one stop Alaskan Getaway. Easily accessible by a full sized Alaskan Air 737. Another option is the drive-aboard Alaska Marine Highway ferry system that sails from Bellingham, WA on a two day journey through the beautiful inside passage, or a more direct route via Prince Rupert, BC, Canada which takes you on a beautiful journey through British Columbia's interior and through the Coastal Mountain Range before you sail 12 hours with a quick stop in Ketchikan, AK. So what does Wrangell offer that is so special? The most unique all inclusive Alaskan experience possible. Here's why:

-Here in Wrangell you don't have to deal with the massive influx of cruise ship traffic, or fight for a fishing hole.

-We have some of the best hunting guides in Alaska right here.

-Some of the best fresh water and salt water fishing Alaska has to offer is within a half an hour boat ride by a fishing guide.

-The Anan Bear Observatory is one of the most intimate experiences one can have with the species. Literally crossing paths on a trail with massive Coastal Brown Bear and Black Bear that are feeding on salmon in the fish choked Anan Creek and Lagoon on the way to a platform that separates you from mothers, cubs and boar by mere feet at times.

-Jet boat excursions that run the wild Stikine River, described by beloved 19th century naturalist John Muir as "...Yosemite, 100 miles long..." Loved by local Wrangelites who spend many summer nights along it's banks, it offers an amazing sight seeing experience. Hundreds of Glaciers can be viewed from the river, along with towering bluffs that shoot straight out of the water. Along the way, it's common to see whales, porpoises, sea lions, seals, hundreds of species of seasonal water fowl, bald eagles, bears, moose, deer and other wild life that call the area their home. Being North America's fastest free flowing navigable river means that kayak and canoe excursions from British Columbia's Telegraph Creek (an old mining town approximately 200mi up river from Wrangell) are very popular, and getting there is fairly easy by float plane from our local flight operators. You could spend weeks up the Stikine River and not see enough, it truly is a spectacular place.

-LeConte Glacier is also a very popular jet boat excursion. The United States southern most tidewater glacier allows you to get up close and personal not only with icebergs falling from the actively calving glacier, but also with local wildlife that feed in the pristine waters of LeConte bay.

-Wrangell also offers endless miles of well maintained and challenging hiking trails that wind through magical Tongass National Rain Forest undergrowth and finish with breath taking views of the Inside Passage all which are easily accessible from local roads.

-If you're an avid golfer, Wrangell's Muskeg Meadows 9 hole USGA rated golf course located on Wrangell Island's back channel offers a great challenge to even the best handicap with it's narrow, tree lined fairways. We take great pride in our golf course and know you'll enjoy the challenge. Bring your own golf clubs, or rent at the course! http://wrangellalaskagolf.com

-The James and Elise Nolan Center, only 2 city blocks from the inn the museum offers an historical interpretive walk through Wrangell's colorful history. Exhibits feature everything from natural environment to Native Culture, fur trade, gold rush, military presence and much more.

-Best of all, Wrangell is only 2 hours from Seattle by plane! It's literally right in the lower 48's back yard. Instead of spending thousands of dollars on one chartered fishing trip, come to Wrangell and see it all! Catch a massive King Salmon or Halibut one day, get up close and personal with a thousand pound brown bear doing it's best to put on weight before winter the next, then see the amazing Stikine River up closeeach day come back to a comfortable warm accommodating inn atmosphere, have a glass of wine and relax with a world class meal on our waterfront patio. Experience it all and spend less doing it on your dream Alaskan Vacation, right here in beautiful, quiet Wrangell. So call or email us today, and let us help you put together your dream Alaskan Vacation!

Heads up! Let's make sure we allow some space for the WVFD to make sure we have an amazing show on the 4th this year! Please keep any patriotic pyrotechnic displays in and around the Stikine Inn property limited to ground only/kiddo friendly! Have a safe and exciting 4th weekend here in Wrangell!

P.S. kids caught silly stringing the property will be given free lotus shots and will be paid handsomely to TP parents vehicles! Seriously though, that stuff stains everything it touches... please ask your kiddos not to hit the building itself! We appreciate you freedom loving parents!
