The legacy of Taste of Italy began 25 years ago when Giancarlo Schiano Di Cola must know as "JC" started learning culinary skills from his family in Napoli, Italy. Much of his expertise had come from his father Giovanni Schiano Di Cola who had spent many years in Brooklyn restaurants as well working in his own restaurant. In August 02, 2004, with 20 year’s experience, JC opened the first location

of Taste of Italy. Using his father’s old New York recipes he was able to open his second location after 7 years in Canton . Offering a selection of New York and Sicilian Style pizza as well as many popular dishes including home-made Lasagna, Creamy Tortellini alla Panna, and luxurious Gnocchi Bolognese all made fresh, Taste of Italy takes pride in using top of the line quality with all products. This commitment to the customer is most evident in our marinara sauce which is made fresh daily. But the choice of entrees is not limited to the menu as we would be glad to prepare a special meal for any occasion or catered event. Conveniently located on Old Hwy 5 and East Cherokee Drive next to Publix Super Market at Village Shoppes of East Cherokee, Taste of Italy offers fine food at reasonable price in a casual atmosphere.
