Experimenting with a few different flours between chores, turkey day prep, building super forts for the kiddos and occasional checks into both mamawoof and the office. It’s a very, very rare thing to have pizza making coincide with hunger - usually because we’re cooking for lots of guests and something about the prep process tends to stave off any desire to actually consume any of my pizza work. Today was different. Skipped breakfast. Remembered that this dough’s been in the fridge for almost a few days now - and for the first time in a long time, I happily woofed™️ down a few slices of pizza©️. And was happy®️ about it. It’s the final day of my 30’s. Celebrating on a high (pizza & family) note. 🎶🍕✨🍷🍻🎸🥁🧘🏽‍♂️

Seeded boules. Tighter crumb. Heavy on the fennel. Perfect for albacore & high octane Cabernet. Veins of seedman von germination down folded faults, as I’d forgotten that this one was meant to be seeded well after autolyse and the initial mix. Ah well. It was good. Light and airy yet moist and easy (my slow jam band keyboard soloist while@eating a ham sandwich and flirting with my best girl persona).

First shot at a seeded boule. If you’re old (and funny) enough remember MTV’s sketch comedy show, “The State” - I couldn’t help repeating to myself... “I WANNA DIP MY BOULES IN IT!!!” as I dropped the tops of these big bubbly bad boys into a bulging bowl of boule bits (organic super seed blend) from - added some fennel seed and smoked salt for a little Danny Husk (as Blade Rogers) butch essence. Gonna be a carb-heavy and free-gluten turkey day this year. 🍗🥖🍖🍕🍻🍷.

The 9 B’s: baby boy birthday bash bagel brunch bof bthe bmillennium. Brussels caesar topped with a super snobby parm wafer; the “italian schtallion” featuring genuine stray horse hair from Sylvester Stallone’s prized shetland-pinto hybrid, “Murphy”; classic lox & the family prepared three ways; prosciutto with a bouffant dressed of jalapeño-brine + house made woof ranch. The other one was a “choose your own adventure” on which we went ahead and chose adventure for our guests: Bacon. Egg. Chive. And a map to the buried treasure: excess lethargy, food pics and plans to hit the gym. Eventually.
