While we’re on the subject...
someone recently commented that because we don’t use ricotta, our calzones are technically strombolis.

Looovveee a good food debate.

So, here’s your little Italian-food lesson for the day:
- A *calzone* is pizza dough that’s filled, folded into that classic half-moon shape, sealed and baked.
- A *stromboli* is typically layered with fillings, rolled into a long log and then sliced.

Ricotta is VERY common in calzones (especially depending on where you are geographically).

BUT, ricotta is NOT what makes a calzone a calzone.

Ours are filled with sauce, toppings + cheese. (Bacio Mozzarella, btw… the best)

Folded, Sealed, Half-moon shaped, Baked to Perfection. 🌙

Therefore…

✨ CALZONE!!! ✨

BUT… while we’re on the topic of Mondays…

I know the majority of restaurants around here are closed on Mondays, and I hear SO many locals complain that there just aren’t enough options.

I would love to eventually be able to offer Monday hours at Venecia’s. (Not anytime soon, so please don’t get too excited. 😂)
But it’s something I’d consider when we’re able to make it work.

SoOOoOOoo I’m curious…

If we opened on Mondays, what would you actually want / what business do you think we'd get to make it worth being open?

"Me and 3 friends were there last Thursday. 3 of us got pizza, which all 3 were delicious 😋
and the other one ate a salad, can't remember which salad she got, but she raved about how delicious the salad AND the dressing was, not to mention it was presented beautifully!
Our waitress was great.
