A little over a year ago, my sister told me, “You need to get on Instagram and start showing off your coffee shop!” ☕️❤️

So I did.

And looking back at all these videos reminds me just how much happens inside our little shop.

Steady Eddy’s was built on two things: community + coffee. It’s the people who walk through our doors, the employees who grow up with us, the conversations across the counter, the busy mornings, the celebrations, and all the little moments in between.

After all these years, I’m still so proud to share this place with you.

Thanks for following along, cheering us on, drinking lots of coffee, and being part of the Steady Eddy’s story.

I just want to say how much I love my husband and how grateful I am that I can always count on him. ❤️

Mel and I ran the shop together today, and he was such an amazing partner. I took some time off this week to focus on getting our coffee shop back in shape, and today reminded me how much easier the hard days are when you have the right people beside you.

For now, we’re going to start closing on Mondays to give our very small staff a much-needed break while we continue hiring and training new team members.

I especially want to thank Lillian and Mel. Their consistency, willingness to step in, and ability to work alongside me have helped us pull through a really challenging month. I truly could not have done it without them.

Restaurant and coffee shop life is hard. There are long days, unexpected challenges, staffing struggles, and plenty of moments when you wonder how you’re going to pull it all together.

But then our guests walk through the door. We see the familiar faces, hear the kind words, and feel the support of the people who genuinely love Steady Eddy’s—and it reminds me why we keep going. ☕️❤️

We’re getting our little shop back into shape, one day and one cup at a time. Thank you for sticking with us. And Mel and Lillian—thank you for being the people I can count on. ❤️

I’ve taken the last couple of days to regroup and work alongside our staff to get Steady Eddy’s back in shape. We’re in our 14th year in business, and like many businesses, the transition out of summer can be a challenging time for staffing—but we’re making progress! We’ve already filled one position, and we’re excited to keep building a strong team.
