I still cry when I think about the events that took place 23 years ago. I was opening up the bar I was working at, I had the front door open to let some air in. The planes had already hit the towers and the south tower had collapsed. A woman and her husband were walking by when they saw the news. They asked me what was going on and I told them.....The woman immediately came into the restaurant to get a closer look at the TV. She then cried out "No!!!" and she fell to her knees. She sobbed "My son works there" Her husband knelt down beside her and rubbed her back. But his tears were flowing as well. I handed them my cell phone and asked if they wanted to try to call him.....there was no answer.....They left and I never found out more about their son. But I have thought of that moment for 23 years now
