Good evening Nut busters,
I do not even know where to start.
I have to say a few things that is weighing on my mind tonight. Change is coming to the lakes very fast and 95% of it is because of 10% or less of you peoples fault.
We all love the lakes and most of all Lk Winterset. I love it to and love all of our Nut customers out there. Most of you including me try to do the right thing in public and private.
But Week after week we see the damage being done at the lake. And just because something is allowed and legal does not make it right.
Every weekend I am there I am picking up trash, beer cans, bottles, misc items being thrown out by a few boaters. Those few that are ruining it for everyone. This trash is ridiculous becase there is a trash can at the entrance to every canal on ghe chain and at every boat ramp.
I love music as much as anyone but to blast it in someone’s yard and home because you can is just to much. When there are 10 radios playing loud and all on different stations it does not sound good to the people in the lake or in the homes. Again just because you can do it don’t make it right. It’s called respect.
A lot of the seadoos and a few boats are speeding thru the split between the lakes and to close to shore between the anchored boats and grass making big waves and knocking anchored boats and swimmers all around. This is very disrespectful. Again only a few and not the majority. I see the trespassing on the private property every week that is clearly posted with signs asking you to keep out. I see the boats with dogs pulling up and allowing those dogs to go p**p on the posted property. Again only by a few.
Like most of you I mind my business when I see this and move along, when I smell one burning I mind my business and move along.
But now we are all going to get punished for this and the recent fights. We are going to be pushed offshore and have to swim in 100-200-300 feet or whatever they decide if we wish to get in the water. Again, all because of a few. What a shame.
How many of you remember the rope swing on lk Eloise that was there forever and they cut it and the limb down a few years ago because of a few yahoos and now it’s history. It’s going to be the same here. Grady is calling in the big guns and this to will be history.
We are all adults but since we cant police ourselves Grady is going to do it for us.
My heart is very sad today because were losing so much that meant so much to so many
