President Obama & I before dinner. I enjoyed our conversation. The steps of a good man are ordered by God. I must say old keys don’t unlock new doors. I praise God for ACCESS! When you want different, you have to move and think differently. David didn’t submit a resume, but God told Samuel about him. He was tending sheep when God told Samuel, “That’s the one.” Sometimes you don’t have to chase the room. When God has chosen you, He knows how to send the right people looking for you. There were no phone cameras coming out for this moment. Before the event, we were told the photograph with President Obama would be an official photograph, professionally handled and his team delivered. Everything was intentional, organized, and executed with excellence. When it comes to a moment like this, you simply trust the professionals to capture it. To be part of a strategy and game plan blessed me so much. This season has taught me to take the high road through the humble door and walk through the doors with a quiet confidence. Blessed quietness. God has been doing his best work behind the scenes. You can’t rush growth, you’ve got to prepare for it. I’ve been preparing for my future behind the scenes. Often times, the next version of ourselves cannot arrive, until we say farewell to the past and seal it. This was my very first time going to Martha’s Vineyard. What an incredible experience on the island and oh, to have a seat at the table. My God! It was a moment to disconnect from my regular routine and be present in the moment. I didn’t choose myself, instead God chose me. I’m living in some answered prayers. President Obama said something so powerful “Don’t let people make you feel like you don’t belong”. Silent moves has been my posture in real time lately. God will announce you, so that he alone can get the credit. God said he would make our name great, and goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our life. I caught ahold of my future and I don’t have time to play. Success isn't about being seen, it's about being in the room where conversations happen, relationships are formed, visions become reality, and true influence takes root to shape what comes next. There's a difference between admiring greatness from a distance and positioning yourself in the room where leadership, service, and vision intersect. Preparation time is never wasted time. Bishop Ronald L. Godbee declared a few weeks ago that it was time to go get the promise and that’s exactly what I’m doing. A GOD thing is always a BIG thing. It was an honor to attend the dinner and be able to have a discussion with our former President. I sowed in tears for a long time, now I’m reaping in joy. Dr. LaTanya Moore told me a few weeks ago “It’s my season of catch up”. I’m reminded of the word “those who suffer with him, reigns with him!”
When I initially received the initial invitation I went to the Mother in Zion Roxie Simmons and popped up at her house early one Saturday morning, her and Ma Angela got me good. I drove an hour away; and she got me for popping up but before I knew it, she cooked me food, and she took my hands and oh she prayed a new fresh anointing upon my life. We believe God was going to do something spectacular.
I’m so grateful for my parents, Tashauna Richardson & Charles and my Meme Colavito Sampson Tyson and Poppy supporting me.
Until next time, my hidden season has been my preparation season while my waiting room has been my classroom….My excited is excited. To GOD be the Glory!! Shalom!
