Happy Sunday, Friends!

Unfortunately, after much contemplation I will be closing down The Winston Salem Fresh Box for the foreseeable future.

After almost three years of operating, I have genuinely loved every interaction with our vendors and customers. I also own a home management company that keeps me busy full time and I just cannot find the time to give my all into the Fresh Box. When and if time and life slows down, I would love to go full throttle into this project, which was always to support our local farmers and businesses.

This will be our last delivery and also a BYOB Week, so please stock up and show these vendors some love!

For those who have been here from day one, your love and support has never gone unnoticed and will always be remembered!

We hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend, and Happy Father's Day to those out there.

Summer Produce is officially in full swing, and our box is flexing that this week!

For this week's box we've got Bone-In Pork Chops, Corn on the Cob, and a Squash Medley for a summer staple grill sesh!

We're also including Red Slicer Tomatoes and a Spelt Sandwich Loaf to create a BLT or tomato mayo sandwich at home.

Have leftovers? Use your corn, tomatoes, and some pantry staples for a cowboy caviar dip!

Happy Sunday, Friends!

We're so happy the sun is back out and hoping it sticks around a bit, but with the unpredictability we're planning to stay off the grill with this simple Steak Sandwich Recipe! (https://www.jocooks.com/recipes/steak-sandwich/)

For this week's box, we've got a lean Flank Steak, Basil Pesto, Baby Arugula, and Sourdough Bread to make the perfect summer sandwich!

We're also inspired by the beautiful candy stripe beets at Fair Share Farm, so we found a wonderful Beet Salad with Arugula (https://natashaskitchen.com/beet-salad-with-arugula-balsamic-vinaigrette/) recipe to add as a wonderful side.

I've also chopped beets and added feta and pumpkin seeds with a bit of olive oil for a super simple dish.

We've hated our absence as much as you have, but we are BACK for the summer and back to our weekly deliveries!

We have so much to catch you up on, in the most exciting way!

First off, we've added TONS of new produce to our shop page, including stocking up on greens from our good friend, Anna at Anders Family Farm. She has a super exciting new product line with pet treats! You can purchase them individually, or get the bundle down below.

We've also added her yummy pesto, with more treats coming in the next couple of weeks!

This bright and flavorful dish is a change from all of the holiday grilling and feasting, allowing you to get a belly full while not feeling sluggish after.

Hi, Friends!

We hope you haven't forgotten about us! It was a much longer break than we like, but life gets in the way and this is a one woman show!

Beautiful weather feels like it's here to stay, and this week's box inspires fresh and bright recipes to share with your favorite people!

We've got a beautiful Lemon Chicken Scallopini (https://cafedelites.com/lemon-chicken-scallopini-with-lemon-garlic-cream-sauce/) dish that offers many substitutions to make it fit your needs. While it doesn't call for spinach, we thought sautéing and adding it along with pasta or rice would be a perfect addition.

Strawberry season is here!!

Every year, I pull out the neglected bundt cake pan and make this bright and fruity Strawberry Lemon Bundt Cake when the season starts, and now it's becoming my sunny weather ritual.

My advice on your cake is to wait until the cake is at room temp to add your icing, and don't forget to flour your berries!

The spring weather is in full swing we're up to the low 80's this weekend!

To celebrate, we're doing a bit of a splurge box which only comes a few times a year.

That means 12-14oz Grass Fed Ribeyes from Joyce Farms that our customers absolutely rave about every time we include them in our delivery!

We're thinking a classic Steak and Potato kind of night, accompanied by Asparagus that's just in at Harmony Ridge Farms and a Country Sourdough Loaf from DoughbyChlo!

Please note, this time of year is especially slim in choices for produce...but within the next month or two we should see our farmers pumping out all of those yummy warm weather veggies and fruit that we love!

We've sure missed you, and can't wait for spring and summer harvest to arrive so that we can get back to our weekly deliveries!

The incredible weather we've had + the time change has us itching for summer, and to scratch that itch we're doing our first grill recipe of the year!

We're doing the mac daddy Boneless Pork Chops we know and love from Smoke City Meats rubbed with their house made Pilot seasoning.

For sides, we've got a Perfect Baked Sweet Potato recipe (https://www.delish.com/cooking/recipe-ideas/a55377/perfect-baked-sweet-potato-recipe/) with Caramelized Brussel Sprouts (https://www.delish.com/cooking/nutrition/a45478798/caramelized-brussels-sprouts-recipe/) so they can bake in the oven while you're hanging by the grill with a cold beverage.

In addition, we're adding in a discounted pound of Breakfast Sausage from SCM, and a dozen Massey Creek Eggs for a delicious farm to table breakfast.

This box makes for a yummy outdoor dinner, followed by a staple Egg and Sausage breakfast. What a weekend!
